Undiscovered Halo 3 Easter Egg
In the "Bungie Mail Sack 9.0"

Looks like no more information for us. We must do the rest of the work, ourselves.
Here is what we know, so far.
-Easter egg is on a specific day
-Easter egg happens in a loading screen.
Based on that information, it could happen any day of the year, in a loading screen.
But, what is a loading screen? Most of the Halo 3 loading is done in lobby..
I figure, it's when you complete a mission, without scoring on. You come to the screen with the Halo ring filling up. That is the only loading screen I can think of.
Activating the Easter egg, seems to be most likely a button combination. How else would you activate one during a loading screen?
What we need to figure out
-The day
-How to activate the egg

The easter egg is either one of the following messages during a loading screen 1. Happy anniversary to a loved one 2. A "Will you marry me?" :3 just listen to all his clues, happens on a certain date that we wont be able to guess (anniversary date), He was showing it to a loved one (will you marry me? anniversary date) Also he seemed flustered that we took so much interest into it because it was a private thing to his girlfriend/fiance/wife! Only he knows how to activate it because he wanted to ask his GF to marry him! or he wanted to celerate his anniversary by giving hes GF a nice present in a special way! That's my theory

OT: The screenshot that you posted, feedthefishy, does look like it's from the last level. However, I don't think that it's an easter egg or even related to an easter egg.

Okay well, I have looked into that video as just when the the "glitch loads out to the menu it flashes up bright and you can see objects more clearly. [url=http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/700/screenshot20121206at175.png]This[/url] is a screen shot i took You can see a plasma pistol, Also some other object to the top left. Some sort of spine at a angle with a skull at the end behind chief???? EDIT: We can see the back of chief, Meaning he is facing foward. The floor looks like the last mission "Halo" floor that falls from beneath us, Could someone confirm with a side-by-side picture. I mean even if that is a game bug its a pretty influenced bug considering the plasma pistol and other foreign objects. I definitely think were onto something EDIT: the object in top left looks like a ghost with a blue elite to the right side of it. and judging by the spine behind chief it looks like the arbiter. Have you guys considered the loading screen when the game transitions from one campaign mission to the next? The one were the Halo ring lights up.

maybe its a maltiplayer Easter egg, hat can only be seen on certain day and maybe that day was before the release date of halo 3 making it impossible to find
