Does this work on iPod or just iPads? My daughter got an iPod Touch for Christmas and I'm considering putting this on there if it is available.

Crimson only works for Ipads, hopefully there will be a Ipod app here soon.
-
Posted by: MadMattbeast Crimson only works for Ipads
Wrong. The app is also available for iPhone, so it should work on the iTouch. [Edited on 02.04.2012 12:13 PM PST]

It works on all iOS 4+ devices (basically any device that has the current software).
-
This got me confused. Thinking that said Only for Ipad . I should read more carefully.
Compatible with iPad
Old Papa Rich has a daughter?
Posted by: Old Papa Rich Does this work on iPod or just iPads? My daughter got an iPod Touch for Christmas and I'm considering putting this on there if it is available.
It exists for the Itouch, but I think it costs money.
-
Posted by: Duardo It works on all iOS 4+ devices (basically any device that has the current software).
Well, it's technically only compatible with devices that support iOS 4.3 and up. iPhone 3G and second generation iTouch devices are capped at iOS 4.2.1 and won't run CSP.
-
Is it just me, or is it kinda odd that bungies own team (bungie being the publisher) has to come to the community to ask game support questions? Mind you the search functions returns some results so perhaps the Old Papa is just enforcing stereotypes related to the aged and their use of technology :)

Subject: Crimson: Steam Pirates on iPhone for Free! Disembodied Soul Emotional Support Sent: 12/2/2011 Thanks for using the Bungie Mobile App. This weekend, Crimson: Steam Pirates is free on iPhone! Click the link below to download it from the App Store. Crimson: Steam Pirates for iPhone Love, Bungie This is from a while ago, so its not free anymore, but this proves my point

It's just the first iAnything I've had. Still figuring stuff out.
Posted by: Duardo It works on all iOS 4+ devices (basically any device that has the current software).
It doesn't work on my 3G iPhone with iOS 4.2.1, which is the latest iOS that is available for it.

(or at least products it claims to publish) bungies FAQ page is a little wanting (again, publisher??) but the Apple App Store reference spells it out in simple black-and-white. "Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.Requires iOS 4.3 or later". As for the 3G and 4.2.1 product dead end; 1) Apple ain't no Microsoft when it comes to support, 2) Apple is about buying a complete new kit (that game may be getting a litte more expensive)

But as for "they aren't involved in anything Bungie does" ... so the people who elect what gets locked/banned/supported ARE BUNGIE ILLITERATE ?!? Are you serious?? Ok, could explain a lot ... but not buying it. Why would any company put someone in charge of a public facing corporate web site and not involve those same people, not provide them company feeds and individual support? Would rather believe the post was a bait question ... an attempt to generate some forum traffic (especially as the answer was actually on bungie/hairbrained/apples own web sites).

Works for both now
-
Posted by: SEV1N Works for both now
Yes, but thats the easy answer. The longer question got down to versions of iOS. Same as saying reach runs on xbox, and then complaining that it 'doesnt run on the original xbox' :)

If everyone that was Bungie literate became a Ninja, than Spartain Ken would be the Webmaster.

Never would have expected this to be a common view of bungie and the people they appoint to be forum mods. Done the technical product forum mod role before, and we knew our stuff ('very product literate') because we loved the product and the role. There was some chatter like this on the moai forums, but I had put that down to sour grapes. Obviously I was being a little too forgiving.

It is my understanding that forum moderators on Bungie.net are not in charge of customer support of any kind, their only job is to enforce the forum rules and help us, Bungie fans, to have a great time online. What gets locked and who gets banned is completely unrelated to Bungie. As you already know, they are not Bungie employees, their actions and opinions do not represent Bungie in any way, shape or form. By the way Bungie.net is not a corporate website, it's a community website. Forum moderators don't get paid for their time here and they are just Bungie fans with moderator tools. Because of their role online they don't have to know all-things-Bungie and be ready to answer technical questions about anything Bungie-related.

Have filled a similar [unpaid] role within code/development forums and we always had contact with people from the corporation we championed ... guess I figured there would be some basic contact, or at least some level of goto person. Based on these posts, and no refute by mods, I guess bungie dont go the same distance. Repeat of previous OT links; - bungies FAQ page - Apple App Store. Apple link is all thats needed, kinda sums up the requirements on the apps download page - just ned to scroll down a bit.
