Crimson sounds fun.
I really hope this is sarcastic, because if you're really saying that a game you have no concept of apart from its vague title (the name of a color) sounds fun, then that cements my presumption that some fans will praise Bungie for absolutely no reason at all. Sadly, I don't think he's being sarcastic. Go back and look at the other 10 pages of responses, and I think you'll see that there is a very small slice of the community who is excited about this announcement. I'll save my praise for when I see something that exists. Not a color.
•
Posted by: Dmm White Why have a device which only plays games when you can have a mobile phone which will play games, connect to the Internet, take pictures and make phone calls?
You're right! Utilizing that logic, I combined my refrigerator, toilet, oven, and washing machine! Sure, my food doesn't smell or taste too great on the count of me also doing my business in my refrigerator, and it often tastes of laundry detergent, and having an oven inside the refrigerator really slows down cooking time! But hey! Why have a device that can only store food when you can have a device that stores food, handles waste, cooks, and cleans (while sacrificing each component's effectiveness in exchange for minor convenience)?!

 •
Posted by: thespartan117711 There's only so much you can do with a portable device. Pressing a bunch of touch screen displays on an incredibly awkward keyboard is not the "next level of gaming." Sorry for those of you who have their noses up Bungie's ass, but this is not "cool" or "awesome."
THANK YOU. Nice to see i'm not the only one who realizes how ridiculous this is. Why anyone would focus on developing games for a platform that's main function is not games is beyond me. When you mix two unrelated things, you sacrifice features of both for a slight amount of added "convenience." For example, Gameboy games were never as good as their SNES counterparts. Sure, they were similar, and a lot of GB games were great games. But no one can argue that had they been made for a console like the SNES that they wouldn't have had more potential. Granted the GB had the portability, but it sacrificed potential. The question is, is it worth it? Would you rather have a low-rate game you can take with you, or a quality game you can play at home? I'm fine with just playing at home personally, the way i've been doing all my life. Halo 4 isn't going to run on your iPhone, and even if it did, playing it on a touchscreen would be an absolute joke. It seems like Bungie's going backwards here, instead of starting off developing on a poor system and then upgrading to a better and actual gaming system, they've done the exact opposite. A studio capable of producing monumental games like Halo is now going to make games on par with "Angry Birds." From the update: "Bungie was originally founded in 1991 with two goals: to develop games that combine brilliant storytelling, beautiful art, and deep gameplay" And the best platform to provide "brilliant storytelling", "beautiful art", and "deep gameplay"? Obviously a cell phone! Mobile games are cheap time-wasters that are made to make money and nothing else. Nobody's designing mobile titles to create a deep, complex game. Anyone who thinks that a mobile game will be even close to past Bungie titles is out of their mind.

 • I barely play any mobile games...well other than Angry Birds. I had really expected Aerospace to be somewhere along the lines of Space Exploration not mobile games. Mobile games are something to pass the time but I'm sure Bungie has their own reasons. Perhaps Halo 4 will be the last of the great games of the Bungie universe. Maybe they needed a new challenger to step up and surpass Halo? Im still looking forward to Halo 4 and Halo Anniversary anway!

 • soo. short little 2 hour games on cell phones are what we are moving toward. wtf is that, I guess its time to rebuild my rig and just buy a dvd player. this -blam!- is honestly silly. what happend to precise operator input = success... and does anyone feel like they're just expecting the "communities" cooperation instead of asking? they're kinda basing the whole project off the fact they have a place for indy developers to show off their games... what if they dont.? i was happier playing great games and being called a nerd, now 7 years later, im playing the same -blam!- games with the people doing the name calling, and they are being catered to yet again... if you suck at monopoly, dont -blam!- play monopoly. •
Posted by: XxXAlesanaXxX
Posted by: Covy Killer While this may be a pretty good deal for indie dev's, this is completely useless for people like me who don't do the whole 'mobile gaming' thing. The last thing I owned that could play games on the go was a GBA.
The last thing I owned was a big gray gameboy. Right then and their I realized.... If I have a game system on the go I'd be playing video games at least 9/10ths of the day. You need to take a break sometimes people. Mobile/Portable gaming systmes aren't a good thing for hardcores. Unless a handheld is your system of choice. When you're out and about enjoy your time whereever you are. I want to punch kids in the face when I see them on their DS's and PSP's at the beach.
I moved up from the little red 'Pocket GB', because of the LoZ games they put on the GBA. Didn't bother with much after that, though.

 • Massive let down I feel here to be honest... I mean if Bungie wants to see the halo community's opinion of it, they should look at the last few pages rather than the ones that say 'Awesome!' before they even read the page in the vain hope that they'll be first. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice idea, but it was being hyped up so much... and for something so insignificant to the majority of halo players; where probably 0.01% are also indie game developers. This was something you'd mention in a paragraph of a weekly update, at best. The majority of the bungie community are big-game console players, and marketing Aerospace like you did just felt like a massive let down. I never expected it to be a new game, I just thought it'd be something big that'd grab most of our attention. But with existing platforms for indie developers to already share their creations on, this isn't even an innovative idea, an area which Bungie has usually been so strong in. I'm still happy for you guys, you can do what you want of course, but on a personal level I feel let down, as do quite a large number of the bungie community. Perhaps if it wasn't so hyped we wouldn't be as disappointed.

 • This is the most ridiculous and useless thing that has ever been conceived and produced by the Bungie team. I am highly disappointed.

 • This is really cool, but... I think the way Bungie "commerced" this product, making sneak peeks, even t-shirts and stuff, they gave out an image that they are giving a product to the community. And although they are doing this indirectly, it's a bit of a downer. It's as if a company like Ferrari would announce that they have a "very special project" and everyone would line up to see their new cool car, instead they would release a wrench that makes building cars a little bit easier. I was dissapointed, Bungie Aersospace is a really great idea. But it should have been commerced in a different fashion

 • What I got from this is, "We Bungie employees are so lazy we're going to make money off other developers by "helping" them with their games. Then we'll get money off them. Thanks for playing our games even after we made the last Halo title suck so badly on purpose to sabotage Micro$oft from making more Halo and failed at it. Well -blam!- you community we're lazy." Way to go Bungie ....

 • i think bungie wanted to do some "other-than-just-make-games" type of project sort of like how valve did with steam and was able to find a niche that supported them as a independent studio
