You really should have required the firefight achievements be earned "in firefight matchmaking" just like you do with the daily challenges. These achievements are pointless the way they are now.

I completed the campaign on Legendary "alone" a week ago and I noticed one of the best tactics was to kill the "heavy duty" enemies one by one and sprint far away enough so that a checkpoint would be created which pays off in the last level when you need to fight three zealot class elites and an elite with the fuel rod launcher.

Yay, quartiles. I believe I'm some variant of a Warren Officer. Don't quote me on that do. I'm completely focused on saving enough money to buy Master Chief's voice for firefight and nothing else. That effort has been hampered by my kid's logging into my account while I'm at work and spending my credits on armor pieces that I wasn't saving up for. They also often switch my Noble Six to have a girls voice, not sure what that's about. [Edited on 10.08.2010 3:07 PM PDT]

First page? The campaign on Legendary solo I think is easier than Halo 1's Legendary (although it was still fairly hard). And the "If they came to hear me beg" achievement took a lot of tries before it gave it to me (discounting my assassinations over and over). Oh, and I know of a person (not me) who actually was a false-positive on last week's 15,000 person credit reset (but you guys would never believe of course, so w/e).

I didn't find solo legendary to be that difficult. (Minor spoiler warning) The hardest parts of the game for me occurred when you were defending against waves of enemies a-la firefight. Two specific times come to mind. (Hint: Last couple of missions) Other than that, every enemy was relatively easy to beat once you figured out how. If you haven't made it through legendary by yourself yet, let me offer one word of wisdom: Shotgun beats hunter, and our good friends at bungie were kind enough to provide those shotguns at (almost) every hunter encounter. PS - Can we vote in arena yet?

Very nice. Stats always make me feel good. And remember kids, make sure to use Needle weapons on Brutes. Especially on Legendary.

Disappointed not to hear anything about slayer pro I know a lot of the community is up in arms over this situation. Hopefully next week we will hear about a Arena Season 3 featuring slayer pro.

Johnrap's Solo Legendary Tips - I have the achievement despite having zero skill at Halo. So, I guess I should share with how I did it. 1. Play Nobel Actual and Lone Wolf first. Since these are cake. 2. Replay Winter Contingency until you can play it without losing a life. You should now be confident you can beat Legendary solo. 3. Play one level per night. Without fail all levels took me between 2 and 3 hours on solo. I'm horrible at video games, you may do this faster. 4. Play New Alexandria and the space ship level next. There's something easier about vehicles. 5. Use the plasma pistol on elites. 6. Marines in the passenger seat should always have rockets. 7. Review the strategy guide for the specific level before you play it. Think of what weapons you need when. 8. Shoot the head with all sniper and scoped ammo. 9. Whenever possible let the spartans accompanying you waste their ammo and suck up bullets, since they don't die. 10. Hologram armor ability is more valuable than any other against the covenant. They never figure out that the hologram is not you. Thus can be used, even without any ammo, to get assassinations on the toughest elites. 11. Camo is also good for being invisible, as long as you crouch walk with cammo you are invisible. 12. On the mack accelerator gun don't miss, take out whichever plane is shooting, not the closest one. 13. Jorge will go to the tip of the spire with you if you ask him nicely. Get him on the jeep, park by the elevator, get off before he does, when he exits melee him into the elevator, so he can eliminate the sword elite and fuel rod grunts for you. (That is if you want to go the way of the coward. I did. But, again, I suck at games, and refuse to cheat, so I had to cheese.) Well those are my tips. Don't hate me for posting them or being wrong. Just correct me where I'm wrong. I know I suck at Halo. I know I'm a jerk. I know only an egomaniac would post his tips. Whatever mean thing you are about to say I already know it.
