It's fun watching everyone whine about not being able to farm credits or some minor changes to the playlist. To the farmers, you found a way to exploit the system and you were caught. If Bungie punishes you for it, it's your own fault. If not, you'll just have to find another way play the game. It is a game, it's about having fun, not a way to boost that virtual number next to your gamertag that you try to use to compensate for what you lack. To the playlist whiners, Reach was released not even a month ago. If a good percentage of the community still wants whatever it was that was changed, there is a good likelihood that it can come back in a couple months as more updates are made. The more mature the community is about wanting a certain playlist, Bungie would probably be more agreeable about including it in a future update. But if you just whine like the child you probably are, Bungie will probably put that playlist on a high shelf that you will never be able to reach. Pun not intended.

thats what im saying unlock the ranks only the nolifes care about changing some game modes i know 3 people who threw their copy of reach in the trash becouse bungie is playing god with credits and ranks they did not even trade them in becouse they did not want to put the game back into serculation. When will the level cap be raised? Tuesday? later in october? im a lt. colonel grade 2 right now about to be grade 3. Im looking forward to more armor. But other than that great update. No more instant kicks for accidental betrayals!!! yay!1

Extremely hypocritical to ban people for using the Locater how it was intended to be used.) That is definetly not hypocritical.Bungie put it there as a easter egg for people that searched around the map and rewarded them with easy access to the next section of the level. Now, finding a glitch thats allows people to find a way to climb up the credit, its not cheating but restarting checkpoints is not what bungie had in mind when they put the target locator there.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I had the disc read error. I actually found that it was the result of a bad install to my hard drive as it only started after I had installed it. Once I removed the install it worked just fine. .. Slower load times, but slow is better than none at all.

can we get an mlg playlist already? That's about the only thing that will make this game semi-bearable.

BUNGIE, please lift the level cap, if my credits and commendations don't even count, and carry over once you finally lift the cap. I will be so blam! mad you are screwing over people the most dedicated to your game, you have the daily CR cap that is ENOUGH Moderation. Please let us rank it's tiring not making any progress. You make us hate your game, alot of people are majors, and captains they have caught up LIFT THE CAP! If you don't lift it the first update a lot of people will move on from HALO REACH.

LOL i have no clue what the hell Gruntpocalypse is lol I got to my rank due to sucking and not having a job sigh..since I'm here I wouldn't mind my rank being reduced...I'm horrible, but still playing and Learning!...I'M GETTING use to the DMR but it's still a bit difficult :(

man u guys should stop talking about gruntpocalypse i admit its fun and its a easy way to get credits but common the game isnt about ranking up or atleast not totally just play and enjoy the game if gruntpocolypse is ur thing so be it play for fun not credits there is also rumble pit i personally love arena but theres plenty to do and if you want dont play it if it is that much of a burden to you...

My receiver does not have a setting for Dolby Digital. All I have is Dolby Pro-Logic II. Everything works fine until the hunter roars. I don't hear it. As far as I am aware the sub woofer works fine, it is playing sound, just quietly. My connections are fine and the woofer is set to max. Is this related to my lack of Dolby Digital?

on the more cR thing, exactly. they want us to rank three times before we get something new. bs. it takes an average of 30 gruntpocolypse games to rank ONCE, and theryre taking that away too..... can wait to shoot this disk full of holes...

i have the same problem, so i go play score attack, shooting grunts in the face is fun, wait, now i wont be getting a measly 90-something credits becaue of why?? oh yea. you want me to become ano life and play matchmaking for 15 minutews a match and possibly get lagged out and banned or get my ass handed to me by idiot 5 year olds who play halo all day everyday. please dont do anything to score attack. its the one game mode i can stil play.. sure, i get around 900 credits each match. whoopdy -blam-ing do! it still takes for -blam-ing ever to rank three times to unlock anything.... i honestly dont know what ill have if you screw with grunt-pocalypse.......

Great update, I like all the changes except one, why are you nerfing Gruntpocalypse? The credits are fine, the problem is that all the OTHER game modes are not giving enough credits. Come on and raise the bar on Multiplayer Matchmaking so I can actually play it and climb the Warrant Officer grade 3 mountain and have a good time. Gruntpocalypse gets boring after a few matches, but I keep playing cause MP is not putting enough of a dent in the mountain.

i dont understand why there changing score attack. thats just stupid.it takes over 30 games with equals to like 17 hours of non stop play to rank like twice. while everything else is 44-200 credits in matchmaking multiplayer. score attack isnt credit fasrming, its playing the game, and there going to get rid of the only thing that seemed to be fun? stupid..

The banhammer on the credit boosting was a little overboard, instead of resetting the ranks and credits, havent you guys ever considered removing the ability to gain credits in campaign and challenges involving campaign rather than insta banning anyone who farms without the knowledge that the hammer may be dropped at any point in time? To Bungie: Here's your main two methods of farming credits: -Lets say you have to kill 50 grunts, you stop 1 kill short and save/quit (ONI: Sword Base), restart the campaign in progress and get the last kill and while it says challenge completed unplug the ethernet cord from the xbox and pause the current game, that way the credits are earned but the challenge resets (eliminating the challenges or fixing that issue involving the registration of the challenge actually being completed will eliminate this method) -Running right past all the enemies and obtaining the Target Locater, using it to obliterate the enemies you ran past (there's alot of them), earning a substantial amount of credits. (Why ban someone for something that you implemented to be used? Extremely hypocritical to ban people for using the Locater how it was intended to be used.) This ban system is terribly flawed because there are other options to consider rather than just banning the person. And where's the exploitation of the game via a code coming from? Basically you guys are saying that almost anyone can exploit the code; therefore, manipulating the game? If thats true then you are to blame. Going back to my point on campaign. Its easy credits because it allows for players to use the design of the campaign to manipulate its pattern of enemies and use that to their advantage, allowing people to rank up without having to play a matchmaking game, which is wrong but if there were no credits to be earned in campaign or any workarounds that you guys were to lazy to patch up, there wouldn't be such a problem. And havent you guys ever consider that maybe the reason why people farm is because the ACTUAL legit way to earn good credits (Gruntpocalypse) takes up alot of time and MP doesnt supply enough credits and now you're LIMITING GRUNTPOCALYPSE? C'mon Bungie stop thinking with your heads far down the toilet. [Edited on 10.01.2010 9:36 PM PDT]

PLEASE take infection out of rumble pit. Like swat, it is a significant departure from the basic Halo formula and should be put in it's own playlist. It is very frustrating when I log on for a few games, but every game is infection. It would be nice to have a free for all playlist where one can count on actually playing slayer, oddball, or KOTH. (most importantly slayer). Also, thank you for Reach, I like it a lot.

[/quote] I never thought it was in oct., no one ever said that, but some acknowledgment or idea of when or how this thing will get resolved would have been nice. please tell me that a million threads saying "plezzz bungeee can I haz meh cap razed" isn't going to be the way it gets done. We have alot of credits to get to the top, some 20,000,000 to be exact, and I fear alot of folks won't make it that long. I would gladly play this game for 5 yrs and have a hellava time without any level raise, but I would love to start the run to the top and see what sweet armor is in store for us all.
