The magnum pistol
if anyone has read first strike than they would remember the part were the spartans are with dr.halsley in the caves on reach and they get some new equipment which is new armour pieces the battle rifle and a new pistol that uses
magnum rounds, the description was vague but it said it was a bit heavier
and held less bullets since it was a magnum pistol meaning ITs FUKING
powerful and we all know how powerful the HD pistol was i cant evn think about this one. God save us!

I read the book and it sounds like the magnum would be beastly, but I don't think it will make it to the game. In fact, its my guess that the author mistook Bungie's SMG for a magnum pistol. You can kinda see how he fixed it because later in the book he never even mentions the magnums but talks a lot about submachine guns and dual-wielding them. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what it seemed like to me. Besides, like everyone said they would be INCREDIBLY too powerful. As in, one-shot-from-each-gun death. Bungie wouldn't give us something that unbalancing...

I don't know about the prophet thing where u get a magnum pistol that sounds a little odd but I think it wouldn't horrible to have it in the game cause don't forget about all those vehicles and snipers and pretty much everything.... idk, maybe if they could someway balance it in.

Maybe a magnum pistol is what the Prophets have hiding under their robes! So thats your reward for killing or capturing one of those ugly buggers. for the rest of the level you get one big, brain-blowing, weapon of mass destruction. :D but ya, in multiplayer, sheesh! that would be crazy.

if u go and look at the Pre-Xbox page, and look at the fourth page of pics, there is a Marine with a big pistol, could it be the magnum pistol that never made it to halo?

I doubt bungie will put it in Halo 2. A magnum pistol would be WAY to powerful. Unless in the end we have to kill...who knows what.

The person is wondering if we think the magnum pistol will make it into the game. Or if they should. Personally, I wouldn't mind trying it out.
