Brutes Vs. Elites.

My friends and I have an argument about this on a daily basis. Who would win, A Brute or an Elite.

 • The reason ripa (halo wars arbiter) died is because forge is epic

 •
Posted by: CptSuicide777
Tartarus would win with that layout. Thel wasn't much for close range. The Arbiter from Halo Wars might have a chance though.
Dude the Arbiter from Halo Wars got 0wnd by a HUMAN not even a Spartan
No. The Arbiter from Halo Wars was too arrogant. He could of easily killed Forge. But was toying with him. There were many opportunities for him to kill forge but he didn't do it. The Arbiter from Halo Wars was a real badass. He killed many Elites on his home world before he was captured.(?, not sure if it was on his home world, but it was somewhere) Back to the point. The Arbiter from Halo Wars would beat Tartarus. He was 8 feet tall, could take numerous elites at the same time, was one of the best elite tacticians and last of all, he didn't care for honour like the other Elites so he wasn't going to stop fighting just because an enemy was facing the other direction for say.

 • if hed been in MkIV armour without shields, he would have been killed. the only reason he escaped the stranglehold was because he used his recharging shield to cause the brute to lose its grip
Posted by: Shorty25 master cheif took a brute on 1v1 in cqb and won so it is possible for a sanghelli to do the same
• Depends on the situation really.

 • Well, going off of how the Brutes and Elites supposedly act like in Halo: Reach: Elites win. Assuming you're talking about one against one, however.

(I think) He is the same size or taller than most Brutes. It would be quite even IMO.

 • depends if unarmed than brute without question. If with a weapon such as a plasma rifle vs spiker than elite. If its grav hammer vs sword than grav hammer. CQB brute Mostly anything else elite

 •
Tartarus would win with that layout. Thel wasn't much for close range. The Arbiter from Halo Wars might have a chance though.
Dude the Arbiter from Halo Wars got 0wnd by a HUMAN not even a Spartan Back on subject The Brute would win if he could get his hands...paws...grip appendages on the Elite easy tear in half dinner tonight. However if there was maybe at least a foot distance the Elite could get out of the way and use a flurry of of attacks counters and doges to wear the Brute down and eventually kill it. The Brute knowing he's outmatched skill wise by the Elite would breserk and throw his weight at the Elite to grab him. The Elite knowing he's out strengethed would run if he could and try to find a weapon even an improvised one. now if it was a big empty room then the Brute would most likely win in the end but the Elite would have put up a fight. Tartarus vs Thel'Vadam? Tartarus. Fist of Rukt has more reach then sword and more powerful and Thel is,let's face it not that great in close courters for an Elite but however Elites on a whole would destroy the Brutes [Edited on 08.09.2010 9:43 PM PDT]

 • There are to many variables, specify which Brute vs which Elite.

 • The Elites are better in almost every sense. They just never fail.

 • Well, if it was just a Brute Minor and an Elite Minor I'd say the Brute. A Plasma Rifle couldn't take the Brute before he could close the distance and attack the Elite full on. If it was a Brute Chieftan against an Elite Fieldmaster or Shipmaster, then I think it'd be close. I think I'd still give it to the Brute for a reach and power advantage.

 • Sangheili. They were trained as children to be warriors, and that includes extensive CQC training. They'd neck snap that Brute before it had a chance to turn around.

 • Depends. If it's one on one, and they have no weapons or anything lying around then brute.

 •
Posted by: Acres 057 Which is worse; the gold sword-wielding Elites from Halo: CE or a berserking Brute from any of the games? Those Elites used to legitimately scare me.
The legitimately scared me too. Especially the camouflaged ones. And don't get me started with the library... *shudders*

 • Who would win, toe to toe, one on one: Arbiter, or Tartarus Please keep Halo 2's ending out of this. There were infinitely spawning Elites and Johnson with a sniper. Just Arbiter's Energy Sword plus Plasma Rifle vs. Tartarus's Fist of Rukt Gravity Hammer

 • I'd think that if it were purely hand-to-hand then the brute would definitely win. Any other time though, an elite's superior agility and strategy would desecrate a brute.

 •
Posted by: rst7503 well, it depends on what. In face-to-face combat. A Brute would, since they are much stronger than Elites. However, where refined strategy is involved, probably an Elite would win because the Sangheili, as a whole, are superior tacticians
I'm gonna have to agree with this, well said!

 • Hand to Hand - Brute, no contest. They may not be smart, but you don't want to be anywhere near them.
