  • Okay, so I had remembered a Weekly Update from a while ago that I had been reminded of by this one. So back in April, a weekly update had said that we would earn visual flair for Reach if we played Halo 2 (they should have ported it) on April 14th( the only reason I brought this up is of all the new armor and it's been a while since our Bungie overlords said anything.) And I like the idea of armor effects better than some chest piece that makes your head on fire [Edited on 07.20.2010 6:27 AM PDT]

  • Ok thats it WaywardFerret its time to shut people like u up if u go and look at some of the updates when they were 1st talking about the jetpack everyone thought it was a terrible idea and everyone would use it and it would be cheap and only 4 noobs but everyone was WRONG people still do use and love the jetpack but not everyone just watch the same thing will happen with the hologram!   • Holograms: One more reason I won't be playing very much Reach multiplayer come September. I understand the need for creativity in halo games but all the same I think its kind of dumb and lame. I mean seriously- armor lock, sprint (jet pack not so much), camo, etc. all those are fun ideas. Holograms? Halo's multiplayer gameplay has enough quirks and problems already. How is having a bunch of player-copies running around the maps going to help? The campaign looks wonderful- cinematic- even beautiful. But hows about leaving well enough alone in the multiplayer area? [Edited on 07.19.2010 12:29 AM PDT]

I ditched Sprint and picked up Hologram. The Hunter pair arrived in their drop ship and immediately turned to engage me as I ran behind a large rock. I deployed my Hologram off to the left and as the Hunters gave chase, I flanked around the right and unloaded my shotgun in their vulnerable back-sides. Rinse and repeat. So. . . How do armor abilities work in single player? I mean... I understand based on what I have read, but, I find switching so easy to be odd. What I had thought (see assumed for the time, sorry) that we would of had to have the game choose for us as per mission objective at the beginning of the game or something around that idea. Back when I wasn't sure if we'd have much to talk about in the update I asked our fan community to pose some questions to Reach's Campaign Design Lead, Chris Opdahl, who graciously offered to spend time answering them. I'm not too sure why, but I always seem to miss these true opportunities to ask questions... What part of the forum (or other forum) is this usually in? You're looking at - in condensed form - every item that is visible to players in the Armory on Day 1. The word 'visible' is particularly important because it underscores an important couple of notes about how the Armory functions in Halo:Reach. More items become available as players Rank up. So I gather not all that stuff is going to be available on day one. Ok. But now here is my question when we first go into reach will you grace us with some points gratis so that we can unlock one or two things just to get the ball rolling (as it were)? I ask this because I don't play multiplayer in till I have beat single player at least once. While I haven't decided yet, I might go in with my Xbox Friends in Co-op, and I don't want to look the same as them. I want (would like) to be unique day one ( cuz... it's me). I, for example would unlock an Helmet and the computer on wrist thing. Can I have a Noble 6 avatar helmet code, please? I mean I would go get it myself, but we in the East Cost don't get no respect from the biggest conventions on all of Gamer/Geek -dome. Why was the clean ODST style chosen for the Reach Achievements? (I find it odd you would change the look of the Metals to a more gritty nature, and yet keep things so clean for the other "Metals"...namely the Achievements.) I would also like to add a suggestion to a specific little detail. Each level, as has been shown, has a Achievement for beating said level. As I recall, it has been stated that as we progress through the game the we will watch Reach turn from Lush to Glass as the game progresses. Well the thought occurs, why isn't this true for the achievements as well? Why is the achievement "X" have a as lush background as "II". "X" should be a Black and Orange Ball.   • That is a long update. And wow they died a lot playin the campaign, I cant count very well but thats over a hundred times. I bet if I tried it I would have had over a thousand deaths.

  • Customisation looks terrific. One small thing though, could you guys add an avatar body armor to the unlocks (sans helmet), I'll have all these great helmets but they won't go great with a t-shirt.
