While surfing through the forums you always seem to stumble upon a mispost every once in a while. These pesky threads are quite the nuisance when they're in numbers, and/or are frequent enough. It doesn't seem to matter what sub-forum a user mainly resides in. They're everywhere. As numerous, and overwhelming as they may seem, there are a few things any user can do, and should do in order to help get rid of these misposts. However, there are also things users shouldn't do as well...
DO'S
1.) One thing a user could do would be to simply private message the author of the post, and kindly ask them to move their thread to the correct sub-forum.
2.) Another option is to report the mispost. While we, the "Average Joe" of the forums, cannot move threads our selves, our higher ups can. Reporting misposts can bring them to the attention of the mods sooner, and then be placed in the correct sub-forum where they belong.
3.) A third option would be to link the mispost in the Offtopic Overwatch's group wall to ensure that the thread gets moved. If you're not interested in joining the group, but still want to help out, you may Private Message Dango the link to the thread, and I'll be sure to link it my self.
4.) Remember to report rude comments directed towards the OP if they break the CoC.
DON'TS
1.) Don't comment on a mispost saying rude things to the original poster. This could make matters worse, and potentially lead to a ban if the comment is severe enough.
2.) Don't comment at all on a mispost. By commenting you bump the thread back to the top of the page, and it could potentially bring it more attention. Private messaging the author is a much more viable option.
FAQ
What exactly is a mispost?
A Mispost is a thread that is placed under an incorrect tag. E.g., a Destiny-themed thread placed under #Gaming.
How do I determine if a thread is a mispost, or not?
If the thread is about a topic that doesn't fit the category of discussion of that sub-forum, it's a mispost. For example, if you're browsing through #Destiny, and you run into a thread about politics, that is a mispost.
On an end note, keep in mind that not all misposts are a bad thing. Yes, some may be trolls who just wish to blog up your favorite sub-forum with topics that don't belong there, but there are users who are just lost. Not every user knows how to properly navigate these forums. We can't blame them for that. So be kind; Play nice. We were all new at some point, and some of us still are.

The irony being that this post is more appropriate for #Help as opposed to Offtopic, even if it is directed at Offtopic users. GG.
