Bungie's is losing the battle for hearts and minds

Never have I played game where the developer is as reviled as Bungie is with Destiny. It's worse than the hate on 343 after the "14 day buy and play" fiasco with Halo 4. How does Bungie come back from Destiny and become the beloved developer they once were? I'll tell you how they won't win back the community: staying the course and pretending players don't hate them. Underwhelming events like Crimson Days won't win us back. Keeping future plans secret won't do it. Cheeky interviews won't do it. Bungie isn't the beloved developer they were in Halo days. The have to stop acting that way. There's only one way to fix this. Everyone here knows what it is. Bungie knows but won't admit it. They need to be honest with us. Truly honest. And not just tell us how many Guardians died in-game during the latest event. They need to tell us why they thought we'd like RNG. They need to tell us what happened to the story. Not as a joke, the truth. They need to tell us why they keep promoting Crucible and why they haven't made a new raid. They need to explain Prison of Elders. Basically, they need to admit their mistakes, because we can only trust Bungie again if we know Bungie understands why we are so angry with them. Update: Bungie surprised me today, in a good way. If you haven't seen the news, Bungie admitted RNG for Crimson Doubles is broken and then they came up with a fix. Play 7 Crimson Doubles matches and you will receive a 320 ghost in your postbox next week. This is the best PR Bungie has done in 1 and 1/2 years. I hope it's the start of a new era. Update 2: Whatever goodwill Bungie gained with 320 Ghosts seems to have been lost with the latest Iron Banner. Update 3: From the 3/3/2016 This Week in Bungie: "Hang in there and we’ll create some renewed urgency . . .". No content update this close to The Division is like an endorsement to buy The Division. Either Bungie is trying to make the spring update less disappointing or their PR actually thinks this silence is a good strategy. Update 4: The 3/11/2016 This Week in Bungie set a new reference point for game killing silence.
