Early Crimson Doubles Feedback For Cozmo: Code Word, Underwhelming...
So I ran a lot of games earlier this afternoon after the Patch dropped... I gotta say this was a good opportunity for Bungie to make something interesting, but they completely dropped the ball to nobody's surprise. EVERYTHING about this event is underwhelming...
The buff you got when your partner dies is underwhelming ...
The rewards are underwhelming... and lazy might I add. Legendary engrams from bounties? Seriously? And they don't even decrypt at my Light Level.
The Crimson Candy Consumable is very underwhelming... it is almost useless. We have Motes to upgrade things already. Just another lazy thing to add.
The special ammo changes are underwhelming and harmful... people kill time and wait for Special Ammo Crates. You can switch to a sidearm, and then another weapon and have special.
Such a lazy, poorly executed event... geesh, that kills me to say that because I love playing PvP, despite its many issues.
Unless there are more Quests that Lord Shaxx gives you, the Quest is very underwhelming... it's almost laughable.
On top of all this... still... no... matchmaking. Bungie, you failed yet again to deliver a decent event. Festival of the Lost was even better than this.

5 RepliesI've put in about 5 hours in the Crimson doubles I've gotten both shaders and two chocolate ghost one with a light of 306 and one with a light of 318 and with me playing the only time I actually received a reward was when I went awfully shitty in the match and lost the match maybe instead of tryharding and getting sweaty palms get in a party chat with a friend chill and just talk about stupid shit

Great mode, not so great event. It was so disappointing when those engrams decrypted to regular armour. I thought they would be for a crimson days armour set. But yeh, I really love playing it.

Festival of the Lost was bigger and on a whole other level compared to this. This wasn't anywhere near the same scale. It was near the same level of importance: -blam!-in' none, that's what.

I'm surprised it isn't level based like trials, so year one guns like thorn and icebreaker are being over used, a lot of thorn users.

6 RepliesThis Crimson Days event is a joke... It's nice to have the ability to obtain a 320 ghost, but this is ridiculous. Please bring back paid DLCs or something because I LOVE this game, but the community is losing faith in Bungie....

6 RepliesI am surprised that I actually enjoyed crimson doubles. It's probably been the most fun I've had in crucible in a while. I'd rather have it in the permanent rotation than half of what's there now. That said. Yes, the rewards suck. Candy weapon telemetries? I'm pretty sure that most people just use motes of light to level their weapons up before using them these days. Still haven't seen a ghost drop. Got a stupid emote and a stupid sparrow from the bounty. Side note: The patch notes said that the drop rates in the nightfall have been lowered. Did one nightfall today, got one 294 ghost... Same as always.

1 ReplyBest thing bungie can do at this point is draw a line under destiny & focus on destiny 2. Re launch the franchise from scratch pretend destiny didn't happen & give us game we thought we were all buying last year. I was buzzing when destiny was released then stopped playing after 1week when saw what was on offer, didn't play again till TTK came out.

The drop rate for ghosts is ABYSMAL. The drop rate for 320 ghosts is NON-EXISTANT! Bungie kept mentioning chances of getting a 320 ghost this event, but what they didn't say was it was a 0.04% chance. A 1 step quest that just has you complete, not even have to win, 7 matches is a joke, even for a 1 week event. The bounties are easy and I like how each one drops a legendary engram though, it's nice to have more marks (because the items they turn into aren't worth a damn). I quite enjoy the actual Crimson Doubles mode, but it's sweaty as hell. I wouldn't mind if this game mode entered into the weekly rotation.

2 RepliesMight I say that I've had a great time rushing the teams who sit at their special ammo crate? Honestly, the only issue I had last night were two matches where my teammate and I were absolutely convinced the other team was trying to lag switch or DDOS one of us. At the end of the match, they accused us of the same crime. I have plenty of video from the match, but if it truly wasn't their doing then damn that was one HELL of a lag spike.

Didnt they say that this event was supposed to be "comparable in size" to Festival of the Lost????? Also the update was 18GB.... For what?????? patch notes werent that long and the CD event isnt exactly big????

I'm sure at the end of the event they'll spin it to be great and talk about how many people loved it, yada yada yada... . but yeh, WAY underwhelmed....

2 RepliesI got no idea. My experience of it was turn on Xbox, download update, launch destiny, go to tower, ooh nice job, no matchmaking, sign out, turn Xbox off.
