None of us like it. Period. Do you not want your game to be fun? I have friends of all levels of skill. Do you not want me to play with my friends? Sometimes I play solo and it's just too sweaty. Do you not want me to play solo? Do you not want me to play at all?
Come on man. This is stupid.
At the end of the day Bungie...it is a video game. I realize you guys have passion for it. We all do. Well, those of us who play as much as I do. But listen, no one likes what you've done. No one. Even after the tweaks and changes. It isn't fun.
I'm sure no one will ever read this, but there it is.
EDIT. Guess I'll add an edit because this post gained some likes and dislikes.
It seems that the majority of players in higher skill brackets dislike SBMM and the majority of players in lower skill brackets are enjoying it. Perhaps this is what Bungie wants. For discussion purposes, because Bungie can't communicate worth a crap.. Let's say that a lower tiered player defeats many Guardian's in his respective bracket. Then after a while he gets ranked up and plays better players, and better players...etc. eventually that guardian will make it to a high tier skill bracket and always fight high skill. All the time. Perhaps this is what Bungie wants for newer players. I don't have the answers. I'm just tired of trying hard all the time and not enjoying it.

I would rather have better latency than equal skills. I die more to lag than to sweaty tryhards.
-
I know, i'm so tired of playing against people roughly my skill level. I'd rather stomp nubs.
-
Agreed I literally can no longer play with my boyfriend. My skill level is way lower than his and when I play with him I go against everyone at the same skill level as him and I don't even have a fighting chance. I play this game as a way to relax between studying and school not to sweat my ass off against thorn users.
-
Remember when Bungie had halo and their was SBMM with visible ranks and then a social playlist to clown around and have fun? I wish they did something similar. Maybe the small pvp community would be to segmented ?
-
Destiny is a casual game so sbmm shouldn't even come anywhere near this game.
-
Bump.
-
So.. Since you can't curb stomp a bunch of noobs.. You can't have fun? That's all I read. My win / loss is horrible because of SBMM when I'm playing with my friends.. Even when I play solo I still tend to have some fun. It is a video game, after all.

Edited by Dr Livingston 9: 2/11/2016 4:31:24 AMI want to add tonight i had the worst lag ever!!! skilled based matchmaking has to go. im not complaining because im losing quite the opposite but i was in matches where i did not know who killed who when the lag was so bad it took 20 seconds to find out if i killed that guy or not!!!! the lag is horrendous!!! let me wait 10 seconds to find out who killed who. its pathetic. connection based is always better!!! tonight was the worst lag i have ever experienced. i see 10 seconds after i kill a guy headshot. wtf? shooting at people who stay still and dont die. i have no idea what is going on.

On the other side of the game, it's someone wanting to play and compete. You don't want to try, then don't. You will do badly and the SBMM will adjust you to the level of competition that matches your desired effort.
-
Agreed. Trials is the least sweatiness game mode. I hate regular crucible always paired up with 1.8 - 2.5 k/d kids --- with thorn, TLW, HB, biking funeral. I have to go full try hard every freaking match.
-
I like it. Therefore, your whole argument is invalid. STFU asswipe.

Edited by PhillyPhil75: 2/11/2016 3:19:20 PMI'm cool with it. Why would I want to play against Rambo, get my ass kicked for hours on in, get put in a corner and get belly shots teeth kick combos, try to defend myself with a water gun,and then do a rage quit table flip when I could play on a leveled playing field with people of my same skill level?
-
I think it's awesome
-
Signed.

I agree. I have a friend that doesn't even want to play crucible with me because of SBMM. So mad at it.
-
I liked SBMM, im someone who doesn't care about K/D and run around with a NLB My KD is average, so I matchmake with other causuls in my region, and my connection is great and I have a great match. The only people really affected by SBMM are Pubstompers like Kjhovey, Holtzmann, and TrueVangaurd, who over perform everyone else. People who play in sweaties don't finish sweaty matches with 4.00 K/Ds, thier KD and W/L ratios is kept in check by the people they play with, SBMM also helps them set up matches quicker. SBMM doesn't affect the laid back crucible player like me, average k/d with and average W/L ratio, im not being paired up with people in russia just to match my skill level. I don't really care what bungie does, I was never affected by the SBMM change.
-
Bump Some lower skilled friends dont even want to play crucible with me anymore because they get stomped. It is just stupid.
-
Add sbmm to trials.
-
Edited by seanjd1: 2/11/2016 2:24:04 PMStop it! Ask for separate playlists! We can all be happy. Just a thought. Plenty of people like sbmm. It wouldnt hurt either way to simply have the option. The selfishness in people is disgusting.

WHAT IS SBMM SORRY
-
Is this why it red bars so much?
-
I'm fine with SBMM, wouldn't you like to play people closer to your skill level? Or possible mercys every game.
-
i agree completely, sbmm completely removes any sense of progression in pvp...youre reward for playing a lot of pvp and honing your skills should result in more kills, less deaths, and a better time doing well in matches....instead, when you do well, you just get thrown in with people just as good as you so you never get to "feel" the affects of how good you have gotten....

The maniacal race to be the first 4 k/d twitchbaiter might have been put on hold, it would seem.
