So, when I say event, I don't mean stuff like SRL or Crimson Doubles. I'm think about a monthly occurrence, like Iron Banner.
Personally, I think Bungie could do so much more with the factions. For the most part, they feel like little more than another set of themed gear that's fun to wear around the tower.
I think that adding a monthly event based around the three factions would make them a little more meaningful. In my head, the event would be much like a Splatfest from Splatoon. My theoretical event would add a new game mode to the crucible when it rolls around. In this game mode I call "Faction Wars", 3 or 6 players of the same faction are gathered up to play a random game mode selected from a pool of game modes against 3 or 6 players of a different faction. After a match, the winning team grants a point to their faction. Once the event concludes, the team with the most wins is deemed the winner of this month's Faction War. As you win games, you increase your Faction Wars rank. Playing games with a higher rank not only gives extra faction rep gains, but a chance to get exclusive faction-based gear. Examples include weapon types that you can't get from vendors, or maybe even faction ghost shells and sparrows. Wouldn't it be cool to have a FWC scout rifle, or a Dead Orbit ghost?
During the event, the crucible maps you play on are decorated with the two battling teams' Factions. You'd see things like banners, repainted walls, even faction colored lights. In game modes like control, I'm thinking that the faction decorations around the zone would change depending on who's controlling it.
So, what do you think of my idea? Have anything you would change or add?

Maybe have multi teams, with FWC, Dead Orbit and New Monarchy all fighting in fireteams of three. The best for this would be elimination or skirmish

I think this would be great idea. I'm a FWC man myself
