Skill based match making (ref. as SBMM from now on) connects people with around the same KDR. For example- i have a 2 kdr (I actually dont), and i get matched against someone who has a 2 kdr as well. How its going to work- sbmm puts two players against so that their KDR remains close to 1. I kill the other player, he kills me, and at the end of the game, we get a KD ratio close to 1. This keeps happening until i hit a 1 KDR. On the other hand, a bad pvp player plays other bad pvp players, and gets a 1 KDR. I will get matched against him. I keep killing him, and my kdr increases.
