Hello fellow guardians, hello Bungie,
I am writing to you because of FPS drops I noticed on both of the maps mentioned in the title.
Let's start with a short info about me: I am a veteran in shooters, playing for 20 years now. The first shooter I ever played was Doom and I made my way through Duke 3D, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament, Quake and Counter-Strike to the glorious game of Destiny. Most often I have played these FPS competitively and I am a perfomance junkie. I have tweeked all my PCs to their respective limits to have the most FPS possible with the best connection I could get. My eyes are rated with 130% visibility capability and I can see the difference between 60 Hz and 100 Hz on any screen that is shown to me.
And this is why I am writing to you guys and Bungie: I have noticed a lot of FPS drops in Destiny on XBOX One. The first thing where I noticed it was on Earth patrol on Skywatch when the satellite event starts and all those wizards were shooting at me. To me it looked like drops from 30 FPS (your desired maximum for Destiny) to below 10 FPS (maybe even less than 5 FPS at crucial points of action). When I started to play Trials of Osiris almost a year ago the map was Burning Shrine and I did not recognize any drops of frames. But with the release of The Taken King you have brought us new open maps with lots of obstacles like Frontier and Memento and I can tell you that these maps have similar FPS drops like I have witnessed on Skywatch. If you have a lot of action in the area of the waterfall on Frontier or in the big sniping lane on Memento you surely only have around 10 - 15 FPS which makes it impossible to have a good gaming experience, especially competitive wise.
I hope to find some people that agree with me and sign this thread with their respective names to show Bungie that we want these maps out of the Osiris mapcycle forever.
Kind regards, Lightningsoul
