What is your answer to...

Destiny is not Chess. You'll never be able to know exactly what to prepare for, and there will be times when your only hope is error on your opponent's part. That said, the number of unique ways you can die are finite, and while you can't prepare for all of them, some loadouts have more versatility in this regard than others. The following list contains unique (and probable) threats in the Crucible. Your job is to present your loadout (or one designed just for this thread), and describe how it might answer the folllowing threats. The goal is to identify loadouts that have more strong answers than weak answers. Example 1:
Threat: Golden Gun Answer: 1000-Yard Stare* *This changes based on how you've set up your class. For instance, a Defender that has elected to use Magnetic Grenade and a 1000-Yard Stare would likely choose the Sniper, but a Defender that has chosen Suppression Grenade and a Shotgun may choose the grenade. Neither are fool-proof, but a Suppression Grenade is clearly better than Magnetic Grenade (due to time) in this situation. Similarly, another build may find that their Super is their only viable counter, or that their best possible outcome is to run. Obviously the range of a given threat may change things a lot, and you don't have to be entirely specific or logical with these answers, but if you're having trouble deciding, choose whatever you think would work in 50%+ of the scenarios you've seen.
Example 2:
Threat: Sniper Rifle Answer: 1000-Yard Stare* *Matching the threat is essentially a free strong answer, but it may leave vulnerabilities elsewhere.
A strong answer is something that you can use frequently, such as your primary or abilities with short cool-downs. A weak answer is something you rarely have access to, such as your Super or a Heavy Weapon. If a Threat doesn't kill instantly, assume it kills as fast as it can. If your ability to counter the threat changes with range, specify as such. Though skill differences will often be the deciding factor in real games, assume for the purpose of discussion that the person you are playing can utilize these threats well enough for the specification to matter. TL;DR Fill out this...
Class: Subclass: Armor/Recovery/Agility Balance: Notable Perks: Grenade: Primary Weapon: Special Weapon: Heavy Weapon:
...and use it to answer this.
Threats: Threat: The Last Word (Hipfire Bonus) Answer: Threat: Mid-Range Primary (Not including No Land Beyond) Answer: Threat: Sniper Rifle Answer: Threat: Close Range Special or Primary (Conspiracy Theory, Plan C, Doctrine of Passing) Answer: Threat: Heavy Machine Gun Answer: Threat: Rocket Launcher Answer: Threat: Fusion/Flux/Trip Mine Grenade (Attached) Answer: Threat: Magnetic Grenade (Attached) (High Armor Titans/Warlocks can survive this without Supers) Answer: Leaving out the non-OHK grenades, as the answer is "move." Threat: Shoulder Charge (Max Armor Titans/Warlocks can survive this assuming no Peregrine Greaves) Answer: Threat: Melee (All non-OHK abilities) Answer: Threat: Fist of Havoc (You're in blast radius when it activates) Answer: Threat: Hammer of Sol (You're initially Mid-Range) Answer: Threat: Golden Gun (You're initially Mid-Range) Answer: Threat: Arc Blade (You're initially Mid-Range) Answer: Threat: Shadowshot (It's being aimed at you on Activation) Answer: Threat: Nova Bomb (You're in the Blast Radius when it Activates) Answer: Threat: Radiance (You're initially Mid-Range) Answer: Threat: Stormtrance (You're initially Mid-Range) Answer:
