Simple things - Interface/Matching Improvements - :)

Bungie.... Please Review and Address. I understand that you give employees tasks to accomplish, but when giving those tasks to people that think like engineers, you might find less than optimum results. Specifically issues will arise with the solutions they have. Reality is that their solutions are in opposition to what user friendly or intuitive designs actually mean. (For the record Engineer types will not understand the previous sentence. Not a bad thing; their mind just doesn't work the same...makes them better at tasks the rest of us don't want.) The average person will find the following annoying to the point of aggravation: 1. Crucible: You shoot at someone and they suddenly appear in another space. You kill them anyway and they are suddenly alive and kill you. Solution: Do not let RED BAR people play. If you choose to let them play, do it with others that experience the same level of lag. (If you only drive drunk, then you don't get to drive until you are sober. 2. Interface: If I am looking at my character screen, then leave me alone and let me do what I want. Stop stealing the focus and booting me out of the character screens. I don't need to see the ship flying or landing or anything else. I don't care if you feel the need for loading screens (aka ship in flight). Solution: If I'm busy with my character, then notify me with a sound when the game starts. We can hear the announcer in crucible and PvE. If we turn off sound and die (pvp or pve) then that is our fault. 3. Crucible: If one player on a team has double or triple the kills of everyone else and everyone has a good (or similar connection speed) its likely a good indicator that they are much better than everyone else. Conversely, a few fantastic matches don't make you a god, but if you have a few hundred hours into Crucible and are averaging a 2.0+ ratio...maybe you're better than average joe playing in his free time. Solution: Better match making. 4. If on PvE you fight any boss, people expect to see some kind of winnings to show they 'beat' the bad guy. That's what PvE is! They don't get prizes for beating little guys or medium or even some of the groups of majors. (the odd blue engram doesn't count as we already know that it is scrap 99% of the time)/ No more should players see everyone else get something from beating one of the 'big' guys and you walk away with nothing. This is especially bad on harder difficulties or when you are the biggest contributor (most kills/assists/revives/etc.) Solution: Give players SOMETHING after fighting boss battles. It should be at least a few motes or strange coins. Never give nothing! 5. Interface: Fit everything on ONE screen. Why do I have to scroll on a 1080P TV to see my ranks when on the inventory tab...yet have a bunch of dead space above the quests when I scroll up. Solution: Maximize space efficiency to fit on in 1080P. 6. Interface: Why does the courser slow down when going over points of interest. (eg. quest page or inventory)....do you think we are all disabled or infirm? Solution: Speed up the interface movement to a fast as possible then give us the ability to slow it down as required for our reflexes. Yes this needs to be independent of gun/look movement....because I know the engineers will not get that right. 7. Character Screen/Interface: As fast as I can push the bumper button the screen character tabs should change...why doesn't it? Solution: Speed up the interface by several hundred percent. It doesn't need to move like molasses or be in 3D. 8. Weekly vs Daily Quests/ect: If you have quests/bounties that require WEEKLY or DAILY items to be completed why is it a guessing game to determine if the weekly bounty we just did is working as intended or not?? Solution: Please ensure that the Bounties required are CLEARLY marked as such (eg. Weekly Bounty: xxxxx, Daily Bounty: yyyyy). Maybe add something to the hover pop up of said type quest that flags is as a WEEKLY or DAILY quest contributor, as some bounties/quests don't appear to work (as in they don't flag your Weekly quest line count). After reading the above may be telling yourself the following: 1) I don't see any of the above as a problem! <- then you have an engineer mentality. Nothing to be ashamed of....just not reality for the rest of the population buying/using/playing this game. 2) Nobody else is complaining about the above! <- that's because they are too busy being frustrated to bother typing the information into a forum post. 3) I thought that the above was kind of odd but everyone else said it was ok! <-you are surrounded by engineer's. Don't be afraid, just appeal to management to retain more real consultants that are not designers (they think oddly but in a different way) or have any kind of coding/engineering background. Have a nice day and happy focus group hunting. LOL Edit 1: Updated for clarity on some points.
