Pulse Rifle 2.1.0 PvP nerf up to 19% for Low Rate of Fire weapons?

The [url=https://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Update---12082015/en/News/News?aid=14094]2.1.0 patch notes[/url] say " [i]Pulse Rifles Reduced base damage Low RoF (The Messenger, Spare Change): [b]9% reduction[/b] from previous base damage[/i] " but the in-game numbers suggest the PvP nerf was bigger, and there seems to have been a separate even bigger nerf for Lyudmila-D. Are the patch notes wrong, or am I missing some other subtlety? Update #1: added range details.   • I wish instead of nerfing everything into the ground they could just fix the things that need fixed. Same shit happen's every update. They just nerf everything into oblivion... Just add damage to the weapons that need it to match up with pulses or what ever might be a little OP at the time . Im so confused how you can make a great game and then just keep screwing it up. Listen to your players a little better or actually do some testing before you drop these terrible patch's on us. Seems like they just change numbers around and never actually test them. :(

  • Ranked two Lud-D's to 310... One with counter bal/crowd control (pve) one with counter bal/glass half full (pvp). Haven't jumped in crucible yet but I can feel a difference in pve. Feels like I've been reloading a lot more in the raid and running out of ammo a lot. Don't have the numbers to prove anything tho. This thread is a little disheartening to read. Time to move on I guess.

    • If they had dropped the Lyudmila the 9% they were talking about the damage would have gone down to 19 to the body & 28 to the head. So hitting bursts with 2 body shots & 2 head shots would have still 2 bursted with glass half full. So they've purposefully dropped it even further so there's no possibility of 2 bursting. So in trying to make sure no weapons can 2 burst they made this gun unusable since needing 3 to 4 bursts with this slow ROF means you're never going to win a gunfight or you're opponent isn't going to stick around for you to hit that slow 3rd shot! Way to "balance" weapons with blinders on without ever taking the time to consider or test the full extent of what you are doing Bungie! This is the type of inconsistent tweaking (taking a really good weapon down to worthless) that will lead to you losing a bigger portion of your player base than playing with the imbalance that already existed. This constant dramatic change in your "balance" is really annoying and frankly I don't have the time to constantly cycle through all my weapons to see which weapon is actually worth a shit this month, then adapt my playing style to it in order to have fun playing this game!

            • It would appear that they introduced several gun specific changes that were not mentioned in the patch notes. The Headseeker perk on all of my Hakke pulses has been replaced with crowd control. More than a little miffed about that.

                • As an adamant Lyudmila user, you are correct on those numbers. The update was changed to reflect what actually happened. Base damage is near the same but the range falloff.. What? As a pulse with possibly the highest obtainable range stat for its type, the damage falloff should not be that severe. Lyudmila is not usable under these conditions.

                    • They murdered the lyudmila for no reason. Hardly anyone used it because of the strong recoil. Now its useless because 25 to the head *and* a slow as shit rof means you're dead before the third burst ever gets fired.

                      • Just use the high rof, low impact ones like hawksaw or suros pdx45 if you want to use a pulse still. The nerf dropped crits from 27 to 25, but they are still three burst kills and you can fire them as fast as you can pull the trigger, really doesn't feel all that different.

                        • LD was a pulse that would reward you for those precise hits. Now its total trash. Hawksaw does the same damage. Who thought that making High Fire Rate Low Impact and Low Fire Rate High Impact the same was a good idea? Lame lol

                          • High impact pulse rifles are inefficient and a waste to use It usually will take 3 bursts to kill, u might as well have a mid firerate pulse rifle to get the same 3 burst kill but faster... These so called nerfs weren't well thought out. Much less tested at all

                          • The damage falloff at any range is intense. It took me a bit to get my 10 pulse kills. Have to get very close and I hate close pulse use.

                            • Lym-D deserves it. It's hakke. It shouldn't do over 100 dmg a burst. It should be like normal rifles. As for plox, shouldn't of been so severe. Feelings this missing a number with the 9 like autos "2.5% (25% nerf)
