No supers game mode?
I was just wondering if anybody else wants a game mode where there are no supers? I consider supers to be destiny's main imbalance. Half the time when I'm playing crucible the only thing that stops my kill streaks are supers, the main complaints right now are about supers, and I don't think an unskilled player should be aloud to even get a kill if the only way they can is by using they're super! Having a game mode where there are no supers would be more competitive and based more on the skill of players, instead of who can charge a super faster. Any feedback on this? Bump if you agree with me.
Edit 1: So a lot of people think this is a terrible idea. I can't see why tho. I do perfectly fine with my titans neutral game, Nightstalkers still die just like every other enemy in destiny. Seems to me that some people are hell bent on complaining about some imbalance than actually getting better. Perhaps this is the problem in regards to buffs/nerfs?

So basically you want a night stalker only play list. Because without supers, they are far and away the best utility available in a game mode like this. If you want only skill to matter then you have to a play list where: a) everyone has the same jump b) everyone has the same granade c) everyone has the same melee, with the same range 3) No class perks are active d) No weapon or armor perks are active otherwise you only end up with a play list that is just and imbalance, as you feel supers are, in a different way.

Only if it was ToO as there's no point learning how to play a style if it isn't the be all and end all of crucible. I don't bother playing the crucibles with no radar because there is no need to learn how to play this game like that.

I would want a game mode with no super or heavy So many players that rely on heavy and titan hammers would get exposed.

I want a game mode where your subclass is disabled. No Supers, no Grenades, no (special) melees, no double jump and no passives. Just guns and normal melees.

Sounds like it would be fun except then the complaints would roll in about nerfs and/or buffs to melees. There shouldn't be any complaints about the grenades but I'm sure there would be some of those too.

I'd play it, definitley. Let's discuss the meta I believe hunter nightstalker and bladedancer would be great, GG being low tier Sunbreakers low tier, same with.. oh wow all titans It'll be warlocks vs hunters

I think there should be a no ability mode so no supers grenades or ability melee...regular melee is ok lol

An unskilled player can't even get a kill WITH a super. Trust me, i'm still trying to recover my K/d from back when i was still learning the game. Many weapons and pieces of equipment would become obsolete in such a mode (more than half exotic armors, bad juju, Zhalo, anything with intellect stats) Supers are a part of the game, and should remain in all game modes.

I agree, especially a 6v6. 3v3 it's not as hard to handle. 6v6 can be a shit show when supers start chaining.

1 ReplyBungie (or a company with the same name) used to know how to make all kinds of great custom game types and gave players the tools to forge custom game types/maps. They also used to know how to make great vehicles... -SWAT comes to mind -Grifball -Shotty Snipers -Living Dead Doesn't really matter unless they go to dedicated servers for at least the pvp
