Open letter to Bungie: Are you doing everything possible to push me away from Destiny?

I don't remember when exactly you said that Destiny (/you = Bungie) are respecting our time in the game, but you did. I don't remember when exactly you said that Destiny (/you = Bungie) are looking into our vault when it comes to drops, but you did. So I beat Oryx on hard mode for the first time. All I got is 315 boots. Really. Got to love your way of awarding time spent. How much time spent overall? For me - over 1300 hours. Countless of Prison of Elders level 34 - not a single cipher. 140 heroic strikes back in August - not a single Hopscotch Pilgrim. 8 hours of Omnigul strikes (half of them where 5 minutes strikes) - not a single Grasp of Malok Dead Orbit first and only shader - received at Dead Orbit level 37. I level up vanguard, crucible, factions, gunsmith, cryptarch levels every week, multiple times - not a single good drop. Iron Banner - let me not even start. And unfortunately many more examples. But I got it. Unless I am a youtuber/streamer I will not get any good drops. I don't reallly believe you are using RNG. Cause these guys get the best drops in the game. Why? FREE MARKETING. The fact that I am part of DoD means something about the hours I can spend in the game. Still, I was. Now after more than 380 days and more than 1300 hours, still my time not being respected, I feel you are doing everything to push me away. For the first time I went and bought another game. It's not me. It's you.

 • Ive had this thought before as well. Its a strange notion, but hear me out........ They hire a team of addiction specialists to come in and create the framework for a game thats about addiction, not really so much fun. The team tells them, hey listen, addiction and ass rap/eis not everyones cup of tea, a lot of them will leave, and not continue to throw money at their screens.........Bungie replies.........Just tell us how to absolutely hook a small percentage of them, that can sustain our hunger for green money, and get them to buy absolutely EVERYTHING we release, no matter how shitty! The team no doubt came back with, "Lets call it a day with Year 1, this way we will wean the stronger willed among them out. No need for them to stick around and cause problems, as long as we retain around 30 percent of Day 1 users, and a healthy portion of the new dlc buyers, were good! So thats what happened. TTK divided Destiny. By how much, i do not know, because Bungie will not release any pop numbers. People left in droves BECAUSE of TTK. More left because TTK was not the dream fix all the fanboys were raving about, although it seemed to be at the time. So.......ask yourself, whats left? The people who are the MOST addicted. They will pay whatever is asked of them, they will police the forums and make sure Bungies good name is not besmirched, they will make podcasts in the name of feedback, and that will also hide the illusion of our interest in the community. (PRO TIP) THey dont care about the community, and to have a podcast/safe space is counter productive to making real change happen. Basically, theyve walked the gamut of greed, and treachery, and have come out the other end, rich as fuc/k, and the people remaining will insure that the train doesnt stop.
