To All Who Complain 'Bout Snipers
Listen here, young kinderguardians.
You guys keep complaining about a gun that takes skill to use because it has high aim assist, it can snipe rezzes, too much impact.
Well, what if I told you sniping takes skill? That's right ladies and gents. Sniping takes skill. You have to hit them in the [b]head[/b], unlike CoD. Yes, snipers have no sway, but it makes up for the one hit in the head.
Do you guys even know how much sniping rez could save a trials match? A lot. And besides, you can counter this easily by pushing the person maybe a couple of meters to ruin the aim assist and save the teammate.
Too much impact? The only thing I'm gonna say about this is that 1kYS can one hit a Sunbreaker in the head, along with Black Spindle and Eirene, both which can one shot one in the head no matter the armor.
Finally, the short gaze scope. That thing isn't so good at the long distance fights. So just pop on a longbow scope and wreck depending on the map (basically all the combined arms maps).
And you can still counter snipers. Scouts, shotguns, grenades, and the gun itself, snipers. If you're still struggling, use a pulse. It'll send snipers flying back the bell tower to hide and cower.

After months of practice i have gotten very good at sniping. Its not the snipers that are good its the people who know how to use them.

I love shotguns in games and love them in PVE. Stop asking for nerfs, get better, and learn to adapt. I play PVE solely, but these constant NERF demands and self-justification for new "op loadouts" solves nothing. They end up ruining PVE. As a result, a great special weapon class is going to get destroyed because of whiners. If you're a good sniper, use it and win with it. If someone is a great shotgun user, they should be able to use it and win with it. This applies to every weapon class. News flash here buddy: people don't all play the same. You like snipers, great. I like shotguns. But I never once screamed for a NERF. Why? Because there will [i][b]always[/b][/i] be someone better than you in multiplayer. I'm not great at it, so I either practice and player smarter, or don't.

Sniping, while I'm quite good at it is boring and campy as -blam!- in destiny. At least in battlefield you actually had to think and act like a real sniper, manually adjusting your weapon. Nailing someone square in the forehead from a mile away from on top of a skyscraper was so rewarding. Having someone kamikaze my sniper position with a jet felt so hilarious.

8 Replies1 correction. 1000 yard stare will not one shot a full health sun breaker. Only the black hammer, black spindle, ice breaker, and effrideets spear will do that

6 RepliesThey need to be checked out , i say Lower the Aim assist and make one Base Aim assist for all of them and let the pkayer and perks do the rest , i mean bungie gave everyone the Best Sniper with the Highest Aim assist in the game as a quest reward , same as Conspiracy Theory, i blame them for the hate

6 RepliesWith those stats sniping just not work to well for you. Snipers do have a high aim assist. They also take more skill to use than shotguns, but they are OP right now because I shouldn't be getting popped in the head by a guy I'm shooting. The unflinching perks is there and if they have it on I don't have a problem with it. It's the 0 sway combined with the fact that even without unflinching you can still get hit in the head with little to no resistance.

10 RepliesNot really. The high aim assist alongside abusable drag scoping makes sniping in this game stupidly easy. It doesn't require a high degree of skill what so ever to turn around, jerk your control completely across their screen, and magically hit them in the head when you were three inches to the left of the guy.

I love sniping and only use them but I think they have slightly too much aim assist.

The ONLY problem with snipers are the AA. It's too high. I'd say cut all aim assist on everything in half.

19 RepliesOut of any game with snipers. Destiny is by far the easiest game to snipe with. All other FPS take much more skill to snipe than destiny So does sniping is destiny take skill? Yes Are snipers in destiny OP? Yes Why are sniper rifles OP in destiny? Low zoom scopes that allow for huge field of vision, high aim assist, no sway, only gun type to not receive a nerf ever. Fact of the matter is just because a gun or gun type takes skill doesn't make it any less OP. Snipers are in a category of there own right now and something has to be done. At this point sniper fest 2015 is in full swing and it's only going to get worse.

Getting a headshot with Hereafter and seeing his team mates go blind was amusing. Then again, I can hardly get a headshot because I suck in PvP
