Look Back @ E3 2013 Reveal - Not The Game We Were Sold

So, I was looking watching some old videos on Destiny and one of them happened to be the E3 Reveal from 2013. The scope, style, and game play in this video is so different from what we were actually sold. Honestly, I'm wishing that they had stuck with where the game was going at the time. It seems more open, expansive, and had a bigger vision to it. I say it's more open because if you watch during the Public Event you will see fire teams trickle in from all over the map including from directly over the wall in front of them. A wall, we all know now, that cannot be crossed. I say more expansive because there are so many more background structures and increased variations in how the world plays out around it. Hell, even the way you drop into the world is so much better than what we got. There is playable room outside the wall and an increased number of enemies in what are now non-playable areas. This game, in the stages around the time of E3 2013, had a much different scope and broader vision that what we have now. It even seems to lack any general story line, which is one of the major points that we were sold on. I understand that games change during their development and very rarely are ever exactly what was planned. But, it seems like there has been a giant change in the philosophy of what this game was intended to be. I wish we could have seen that Destiny finished. I'm sure that it would have been an epic game and not the dumbed down version we got....there's still hope though.
