Why are you raiding?
Many posts are presented with I raided X number of times and I am still unhappy with the loot.
My question is, why are you raiding?
This question is for anyone who can shed some light on this,[b] what are your reasons for raiding?[/b]
Apart from my question (above), here are some thoughts I would ask you to mull over.
I have not completed the current raid though I did complete the previous 2 many times. I will join a raid team if they need a 6th but that is about it, I do not actively pursue raids and since my friends list is filled with people not playing Destiny I receive very few invites.
I am not in a rush to get to 310 or 320 or whatever arbitrary number.
Bungie is adding a challenge mode to the Raid and there are some who wonder why are they doing that when so many other things are not getting done.
If Raiding is important to you I recommend that you do not participate in any Raids.
Bungie is not listening to our feedback, they are simply monitoring the metrics.
A game activity will only be fixed if too few players are doing it.
Want better raids = boycott raids.
Is there something you want removed from the game? Do it everyday.
Removed from the game = too many players were doing it.

I won't do it because the raid itself is boring as -blam!- after Basilica/Totems. Then, all you hear about are shitty drop rates for shitty looking armor and shitty weapons so, why bother? For higher light? For what? To do that boring ass raid again and again? I'll just stick with PVP for now. Maybe I'll finish the Chaperone quest some day and be able to use a primary I can actually get kills with and be able to somewhat enjoy Crucible again. Maybe... It's a damn shame that VoG is just sitting there, empty. Good times, man. Good times.

1 Replywhy some of you cant understand that some of us us just like to play the game, the raids and stuff. bungie is not doing a very good job keepin their own bar at high thats true... but simple answer really, some of us just like to play. CoD , Fallout , battlefront might be great games but they just dont appeal to me .

While some may not agree & are entitled to their views. To do a raid, means to get together with friends and have a good time! To accept a challenge, and try to complete it as efficiently as possible. Through cooperation / communication and just good teamwork. To do a raid can result in improving your skills, and helping others with theirs. While the "loot" is an obvious incentive, and everybody wants the best and are unhappy if they don't get it. But that's just a fact of life.

1 ReplyIn reality, you only need to get to like 310 to compete aggressively in things like ToO and IB, but light level doesn't really matter in most things, because a 310 will have the same experience as a 295 doing the nightfall or whatever. I think each 10 light levels is like a 3-7% damage difference in the raid and idk about anything else.

1 ReplyI raid for the gear, as frustrating as it is. I have a 309 Hunter and a 305 Titan and the game refuses to give me a pair of gloves over 300 for either of them.

I was always liked the fact the raids required a group, we could have a chat and still get stuff done. Now my biggest problem is trying to find groups to do the raid with.

Sure, you might get a sweet 320 Shotgun, but why worry about what loot you'll get when you can have so much more fun by just focusing on what you're doing? Believe me, once you get to a certain point, you just stop focusing on loot and start focusing on having a good time with your pals, or whatever randoms you're helping through.

I beat hardmode at 308. Its fun when new loot from end game content affects open world content but theres nothing pve outside the raid. Nothing to explore, no open world, no wildlife, no dynamic events...no population...pointless

I am with you bro. Last night I started my 6th normal KF raid (done tons in last 2 dlc, crota still remembers my gally...) and got a team of 1 hardcore hardmode raider, myself an average player, 1 ok guy and 3 noobs (1 of whom had broken mic but could hear). Anyway, we made it to sisters/daughters in sub 90 minutes with 4 wipes and 3 quitters... Hell, we did sisters in first attempt in perfect run as we had 4 ToM in team by then. I lost my will at oryx and quit without finishing... So did 2 other guys... Maybe it was too late at night and i was losing focus or maybe because everyone was complaining about rubbish drops. I am 308 but mostly because of my PvP gear rather than low level raid gear and the team was pretty good and patient with noobs (kudos to them) I am not sure if I want to finish this as i am not looking forward to being disappointed by rubbish drops even when i have 20+ mold shards on me! Its broken and FUBAR!
