The Striker Subclass Has Been Rendered Inferior to Other Titan Subclasses

First let me say that I have been a Titan main since launch day with almost 24 days of gameplay just on my Titan. I have also played the other two characters for roughly 200 hours each. I have used all three subclasses extensively on all three characters. From the beginning, I had an issue with the Titan compared to the other subclasses available on the Warlock and Hunter. My largest issue is that both Defender and Striker encourage a play style similar to a 'tank'. However, the base stats of all three classes are relatively the same, meaning that Titans rarely actually have more armor. Once I use my Fist of Havoc, I have to hope that I killed everything with it. If not, I am a sitting duck with nothing to do but take flight. Additionally, the Warlock has a projectile Fist of Havoc with basically no risk but the same rewards as a Fist of Havoc. The Defender subclass is great since it provides a ton of utility, albeit it's fairly weak in the crucible since it gets popped by any other super. But its advantages in PvE make it a great choice. With the introduction of Sunbreaker, the Striker subclass has been rendered useless. Why would I ever choose a super with less offensive AND defensive capabilities? Hammers do overall more damage, last longer, provide sustain, and are more effective for single target damage. There's no jump advantage with Striker, the melee is even better on Sunbreaker with more reset opportunities, and Sunbreaker is overwhelmingly powerful in the Crucible. The only thing the Striker has that is superior to Sunbreaker is the flashbang grenade for support purposes. So Striker = garbage To fix this, I suggest Bungie develops the Striker subclass into an actual tank class. Keep the Fist of Havoc, since it's still a lot of fun to use, but add some buffs to the trees to encourage a front-line playstyle. I suggest that once Fist of Havoc is used, that the Titan is given a damage resistance buff that scales with the number of enemies killed with the Fist of Havoc. This gives the Titan a clear job; jumping into large groups of enemies, and tanking whatever is left afterwards. Since it scales with the amount of enemies killed, it wouldn't be overpowered in the Crucible. An additional suggestion I have to make Striker viable in the Crucible is a new jump modifier. Titans have been complaining for a while now that we do not have a blink (I count myself among these complaints). The issue draws back to the 'tank' label that Titans receive, in that a tank shouldn't have the same mobility as the other classes. However, a blink-like jump would support the tank mentality in PvE, since the Titan would be able to enter the action faster and more effectively. And you don't have to call it Blink necessarily, since it sounds rather dainty for a Titan. Call it surge. That's a lot more manly right? Obviously we are still experiencing the new subclasses so I may be jumping the gun, but I have found myself struggling to find an use for the Striker subclass as of late. TL;DR: Sunbreaker throws several Fist of Havocs, and is overall far superior to Striker; make Striker a tank subclass, give it a blink-like jump modifier (but call it surge) Edit 1: Thanks for the discussion, I feel I have clarify using the word "Useless" since it's a fairly absolute word. I only mean the subclass is useless relative to Sunbreaker. The reasoning being Sunbreaker just does everything (damage, sustain, melee, etc.) better, essentially making Striker useless. As many have pointed out, shoulder charge and lightning grenades have their uses. Additionally, the instant shutdown capability with Fist of Havoc (Panic) is unique to the Striker subclass. That being said, I still think there needs to be something more for the Striker to compliment the rush-down style that is implied with both Fist of Havoc and Shoulder Charge/Juggernaut. Edit 2: Many of you are justifying the strength of Striker with a specific exotic piece of armor (Helm of Inmost Light, Armamentarium). The problem here is that you're arguing that a specific piece of armor is needed to make an entire subclass worth using. This really sucks for those that struggle to get exotics. The subclass should be strong on its own, and then be complimented by the exotic, not the other way around. Edit 3: Some of you have made the point that the Striker has many abilities that resemble a tank-style, therefore they are tanks. Stuff like juggernaut and unstoppable make him a tank right? Well, unstoppable only works during super cast, and juggernaut only works while sprinting. Additionally, other subclasses have abilities that support more of a tank style. Defender has force barrier, Sunsinger has flame shield. Striker only has health regeneration on storm fist that stops once you take damage. So I disagree that the Striker is already a tank. It isn't much different from other subclasses as far as damage mitigation is concerned. Edit 4: I changed the title to be more representative of the point I am trying to make. Edit 5: At this point, the most common argument I am seeing to justify the viability of the Striker subclass is the uses of both lightning grenades and shoulder charge in PvP. Well yes, I suppose these help for PvP, but this does nothing in the context of PvE. Lightning grenade maintains some damage, but I much rather have flashbang utility. Other than that, Striker still suffers heavily in end-game PvE since Fist of Havoc is more likely to get you killed than get you kills.
