One guardian's quest for a certain gun.. fails and sadness...
This is just a bit of a rant.. I am so dead feeling and frustrated, and angry.. I really want the NL Shadow 107X Scout Rifle.. Since scout rifles are what I use primarily when doing PvE, but you get it as a "random" drop in the crucible. I have been grinding for a couple months, weeks and weeks, and hours spent grinding the crucible to try and get this gun. I have gotten most every other gun to drop, have seen others on my team get it, been killed with it.. and yet it will not drop for me. x.x.. Today I see it drop TWICE in two different lobbies to other people.. I almost threw my controller at my TV out of sheer frustration. This makes me just want to throw destiny out the window, it is so ridiculous.. I do not feel rewarded at all for playing half the time anymore.. I can be doing good, bad, average, and yet it will not drop what I really want..

Got this gun a couple days ago while hunting for the Red Spectre but I did not want it so more weapon parts. Yay.

I feel your pain as I did the same thing for spare change. I have two tips that might help you. My first tips is control, I don't know why but since the update to crucible rewards I have received one of every crucible exclusive all from control. The other tip I can give is do the lord shaxx crucible quest to unlock the bounties that is your best chance. Good luck hope you find one.

Edited by RammerJammer327: 11/25/2015 1:49:31 PMBungie really needs to improve the RNG system....make it where players who finish higher in PVP have a higher chance of legendary drops(you can still get drops being in 4th/5th/6th place it's just not as likely). In PVE if you have already received a certain piece of gear then your chances for it to drop again are incredibly low(I guess that goes for PVP as well).

5 RepliesI did not play beta but I picked up destiny in it's first month, first exotic I ever had drop was gally, but what I wanted and proceeded to chase for over eight months was the Ice Breaker.. I saw many people get it, all over the place. Then I finally got it, shortly thereafter TTK came out, guess what? It just sits in the vault now. I don't play for the loot anymore.. just doesn't work that way. If you go into something with no expectations you can't be let down, I just play to have a good time with the friends I have found on destiny. Anything that happens past that, well shit that's a plus.

It's a shitty gun anyway, unless maybe if you get full auto on it and a stability perk, but you're probably better off trying to get the trials one which has similar stats but always comes with full auto
