Refer-A-Grind the search for Noob Gaurdians.
With the new Quest of Refer-A-Friend,many are exicted to see their new gear like the Sparrow or the Emblem,shader and swords.
but how stupid when a friend and fellow clan mate invited me to join or LINK,only to say that only NEW people can be invited and linked...now heres the thing BUNGIE your desperate for new blood,only way your Day 1 Guardians can recieve this loot is by convincing friends to go to the store and buy TTK or having to go to the Tower/Reef and grind for new blood,like Vultures seeking fresh meat.You said that Farming and Grinding would be needed less or hardly ever,but like many things You once again changed the rules and LIED to everyone,like Usual.
When will you stop COCK teasing others?this is a PATHETIC cry for more players.if you never would of lied to us all since day1 this wouldnt be an issue and people would not of switched to other games,like SWBF or CODBO3 ect.
This is what happens and seeing this Refer-A-Friend quest is to me more like Refer-A-Brain that you the Master Minds should locate in real life as a quest.

15 RepliesJust a ploy, as they don't plan on giving away anything of real value; besides, how many really want to "refer-a-friend" yet want the items. How many will just create another account(s) to get those items? But no matter, they just want more "registered" players, as these are the numbers that Activision and Bungie use to imply the game is popular. After all, 25 million registered users does not equate to 25 million sold copies of the game, nor does it tell use how many regularly active players are playing the game. Oh, but then they say that the "average" player is playing 3 hours a day. So it that out of 25 million accounts they are using to get those numbers? Or, could it be only counting the "average" number of players that are playing? So, if only 10 people play regularly, and those 10 players play approximately 3 hours a day, they can claim that they are not technically lying, just not telling the whole truth - so it is a lie. For the truth, we would nedd them to tell us that they are using that statistic from the total 25 million registered users. I thank you for "BEING BRAVE" and adding your thoughts and opinion to the forum.

They should instead make old content fresh for lvl 40ties and remove the restrictions on 34s. Why is VoG, CE and PoE still obsolete? Why do I have to regrind IB for a new Gheleons Demise? They only changed the name. Mine sits with 170 light in the vault. I will not shred it, because I still think we should be able to upgrade most "year one" gear. If we have to leave some op gear behind, I am cool with that, but not EVERYTHING. I will not buy anything and refer anyone until Bungie stops being asshats.

In guessing Activision lies to their investors about Destiny just as much as Bungie lies to us. So this is just a ploy for more accounts. Numbers on a whiteboard in a boardroom so Bungie can LOOK like a competitive game designer...when in reality their fanbase is slowly turning on them.... Pad the statistics so the fall doesn't seem so hard. Or maybe I'm just being really jaded and cynical. *shrug*

8 RepliesThis "refer a friend" scam is just a desperate attempt to increase the player-base as the numbers are dwindling. Why else would Bungie implement such scheme? I wouldn't recommend this grindfest to anyone given the lack of content, broken RNG system, no in-game LFG system and weak in-game social tools, and the list goes on. That would be too mean and disrespectful to my friends.

Agreed. Maybe we can start a new list of things you would refer your friend to do before you refer them to start Destiny. I would refer a friend to stick their penis in a working blender before referring them to start Destiny. What would you refer your friend to do?
