Exotic History: The Mask with No Name #3
This installment of Exotic History is made possible by TF9 Fletcher
"Clash!" Lord Shaxx's voice rang out in the comms of Jeremy's team. "Bravo Team." Soon they were given the capability to move as they rushed to their assigned locations. "Stick together team, and you might survive." "Yea right!" Barked the Head Hunter. "Spread out! Find him and kill him quick so we can go home." Everyone cheered their reply except Jeremy, Who ran behind a teammate and stated out of any open areas. After a short bit of searching, they found the man as he drunkenly stumbled around. A sniper round to the head sent his Ghost to respawn mode. "One down!" A teammate cried. "New challanges! When we win, who ever has the most points get all the loot this match!" The Hunter's ran more vigorously as they tried to find the man. It wasn't very hard, he would just randomly appear out of nowhere in odd places not designated as spawn points and each time his stance changed from unsteady to relaxed but ready to strike. "Yea!! You worthless piece of Guardian trash!" Barked one of the Hunter's. "I... don't think we should piss him off guys..." Jeremy said quietly. "What's the matter you baby? He scary or something?" The head Hunter laughed. Soon they all managed to meet up in the large hanger area inbetween the two blast doors. The man stood on one side while they on the other. "Allow me." Said one of the Hunter's who had taunted the man the most besides the Head Hunter. His body crackled with arc energy as he ran over and tried to stab the man. The man simply spawned a Golden Gun at the last second and blew the poor Hunters brains out in a matter of seconds. His Ghost spawned on the floor as the famous phrase, 'Guardian down' flashed in their display. "Well! He's finally shown some moxie!! Go get him!" He ran up and tried to use a Shadowshot but he was met with a Gun to the face. Two Hunters both went Bladedancer, one went above the suspended ship, the other went under. The man spawned the second Golden Gun in his left hand and to their surprise exploded in Combustion glory. The man then simply walked forward and killed Jeremy's teammate and pointed the Golden Gun at Jeremy. He froze as he watched the flames dancing around the gun died out as it dry fired. The man chuckled to himself. "Six." He walked away and pulled out two hand cannons, each modified for speed reload and quick shots. Jeremy felt his heart fall to his stomach. His teammates were screaming over the comms about how the man was able to pull that off. "F***ing hacks!" "That's cheating!" "I declare bulls***!" "No matter!" Barked the head Hunter. "We can still win, we are ahead and he can't use anything but Golden so kick his a**!" The Hunter's practically threw themselves at the man in order to stop him. He picked them off easily. As one cannon fired, he reloaded the second and vise versa. He constantly had shots and despite not aiming down sights, his aim was tried and true the entire match. Everytime he spawned his super, each bullet met it's mark except the last one, which faded away from his hand. The Hunter's grew more furious as the match went on. "Oh my." Said Shaxx over the comms. "Is this what defeat smells like? Chared Hunter?" The match was only a few kills away for the man as the Hunter's grew more angrier. Soon the Head Hunter began blaming Jeremy for all their problems. "He hasn't killed you once and neither you! You are working with that a**hole?!" "No! Of course not!" Jeremy said back. "I find that a lie!!" The Head Hunter grabbed Jeremy by the chestpiece and shook him around. "I seriously don't feel inclined to let you walk away from this." The other Hunters joined around and looked pretty angry. But that all meant nothing as four golden bullets took the team out. The Head Hunter whirled around to see man standing there. "You little!" He yelled as he ran up to knife. The man's fifth shot missed on purpose and the Hunter dove out of the way and slammed into a wall, which the man followed him and pointed his hand cannon at him. The Head Hunter grinned as he felt the void come to him. "That was your last shot." He drew the bow back and aimed it up, only to see a burning Golden Gun in his face. "Nah..." Said the man. "It's not your last, your last was when you walked in the match." He shot and cause the Hunter to spawn as a Ghost. The defeat medals flashed on Jeremy's screen as the man looked up and at him. "Your... friends are a bunch of idiots..." "Yea... They are..." *** The man walked up to the transport ship. He stumbled a bit and he coughed quite violently. "I told you!" Yelled Deputy. "You pushed yourself to far!" "But... it was still... fun..." He chuckled. "Every relic needs... a day to hook his saddle up and ride." "Well still! You should atleast make it easier on yourself." "Where's the fun... in that?" Deputy sighed and looked as Jeremy ran up. "Hey, Chief? You got a visitor." "I ain't... in a medical ward yet..." The man grumbled as he turned to look. "Hey!" Jeremy said with a slight pant. "Didn't you have to come here anyway...?" "Yea... but I wanted to ask if you can teach me to do that." "Do what? Not suck?... Easy, don't be them." The man pointed in the general direction of the base. "No I meant... shot six shots with Golden Gun." The man paused. "I don't see why you... would need to." "I want to." Jeremy looked determined as they boarded the ship. The man pondered and looked at Deputy. "You think he can handle it?" "I'm sure he would try to." The man nodded and took off his hat. He placed it on Jeremy's head. Jeremy began to be filled with a burning feeling in his stomach. "Remember, Old No Name doesn't care who you are, as long as your enemies burn." He said with a slightly grin before coughing and slouching in his seat. Jeremy blinked. "You are giving me your hat?" "Do you not want it?... Besides..." He held his hands up and two Golden Guns spawned. "I already own this... and I have a backup." Another worn black wide brimmed hat appeared in his hand as he placed it on his head. It looked old and torn up but still usable. Jeremy nodded slightly and sat beside him. "Alright." The man smiled slightly and closed his eyes as the ship took off back to the Tower. Thank you all for tuning in! Since I really want this to be a Community thing I would really enjoy getting exotics from you guys and creating back stories for them! In order to do this all you have to do is create an exotic on my friends Exotic page (listed above) and in a spoiler have a hashtag, (#writemyexotichistory), I look their frequently so have a go! Please! And if your creativity is stiffled (or you just don't want to), give me your opinion on what to do for the next installment of Exotic History while I work out my next entry. Post your opinions in the comments below and if these don't suit your fancy there is always an ENTIRE list to browse and choose from so give it a go!! Until then stay within the Light Guardians and remember NEVER piss off the drunken man you don't know. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/172972617/0/0 link to part 2 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/173551649/0/0 link to part 4 final https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/171908957/0/0/1 link to The Mask with No Name
