Hello, fellow Guardians. Recently, as most of you know, there has been a large influx of new snipers in the Crucible who, before the shot package fix would normally use shotguns. Skilled or not, these snipers seem to have one thing in common: they love their rifle to have a huge amount of aim assist. While I can appreciate a high aim-assist sniper as much as the next guy (The Supremacy is my baby), I just thought that I'd highlight how good some of the lower aim-assist snipers are. Recently, as I've been working to hone my aim, I've been experimenting with snipers like No Land Beyond, Efrideet's Spear, and Praedyth's Revenge. I found that Efrideet's and Praedyth's, despite having much lower aim-assist than many of the popular snipers, feel much more rewarding to use. I'm speaking of Efrideet's especially. These snipers have almost zero sway. Enemy revives his buddy and runs in front? No problem. Snipe. I was able to snipe a Sunbreaker out of his super with the Efrideet's. Even Praedyth's does a massive amount of work. That enemy sniper across the lane thinks he's zeroed in on you. sneak out with your scope ready and win the battle. I guess what I'm trying to exhibit here is that you should definitely consider other snipers as well as your Her Benevolences, or your 1000-Yard Stares, or your Eirenes. Praedyth's is a great (and obtainable) way to get into low aim-assist snipers.
