The black spindle
Year one, black hammer was by far the best sniper around in PVE. What made it so great was the fact that you could keep three bullets and never run out of ammo, it wasn't even overpowered because the only time for most people to get the precision shots was at a boss fight. Now, after using that gun for the longest of time, the new exotic "The Black Spindle" just feels like a legendary taking my exotic slot. Now, when I want to use No time to explain or Boolean Gemini, I can't because this sniper that is my old legendary sniper just took my exotic slot.
Suggestions
Either make the black spindle legendary, or, make white nail what it used to be.

It is a shadow of your old legendary. Less now as an exotic than what is was originally as a legendary. But as usual it was good for us so they wrecked it.

I kind of agree. I would like to see the OG white nail perk on the black spindle but I don't think bungie will do that any time soon

the weapon might still be the best in the game, so i doubt they'll do anything to make it better

Then you simply lack the ability to use it because the spindle is one of the best exotics in the game. And yes, i had one hammer on each of my toons back in the day. The only thing i have to say is that ALL weapons that magically reload from nothing should get the same nerf
