I'm just wondering what people think about it. I've found myself getting killed by it a lot.
-
Statistically it's worse than a lot of ledgendary pulse rifles.
-
Red Death is my favorite weapon in the game. Yr1 and 2.
-
Op... Op... It should be Up, X y and z are underpowered, let's bring them closer to the meta.
-
It hits too hard for its rate of fire, missing shots or entire pulses not landing rarely make a difference. I'd like to see a simple RoF and stability nerf, and/or each kill has a CHANCE to heal, so people have to gamble a bit. My highest k/d has been with y1 Red Death, and it's only gotten stronger since then...
-
It seemed very OP in iron banner but then so did every pulse rifle. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
It's a decent weapon, it's great for rumble and one on one engagements, but it is no where close to OP. ~TheGreatNike

Edited by THUNDERCHILD: 11/7/2015 7:56:49 PMits a pretty weapon (not as pretty as juju) and its an exotic why wouldn't players who have it use it? its no better than most other exotic primary weapons including autos like Monte equipped with send it. anyone having trouble with pulse rifles should learn to use cover and get past their sweet spot, once you're close/far enough an auto up close or a scout at a distance combined with a steady hand wrecks them, pulse rifles work well enough in the widest variety of situations but they're not perfect. its also silly to compare any exotic with anything less, exotics need to be a cut above otherwise lets just scrap the whole system and only allow rares in the crucible.

No But two burst headshot tho
-
Look, it's a:
Hunter.
-
If your not hitting head shots than it's not great
-
It's just that pulse rifles got a lot better jn general so you see more of them now

Edited by GraciousEel761: 11/7/2015 7:33:31 PMI'm going to say yes. It has the best Time To Kill of all Pulse Rifles. It also gives Life Regeneration when you kill 1 enemy. If Red Death was tied with other Pulse Rifles for best TTK, then it wouldn't be OP. However, since it is in a class of its own, its absolutely OP. It just isn't that OP. But it is OP. Just no where near Thorn.
-
Haven't seen much of it Hawksaw and nirwens mercy are much more op
-
Pulse Rifles are OP, Red Death just happens to be a pulse rifle. Just go play crucible and 9/10 times, the majority of players are using Pulse Rifles. They've become the new Exotic Hand Cannons...
-
Bungie, some people suck, please buff
-
I'm going to say no but over PRs are op so in a way yes
-
Why is everyone saying no? It's still a 2 shot burst lol
-
I think it's only very strong, I YOURE IN RANGE, because the drop off is pretty severe, the drop off is like a cliff, but I think my HawkSaw on my Hunter is pretty merciless... If you wanna check it out

Edited by SnakePayne86: 11/7/2015 7:28:30 PMNo, buts it's top tier .
-
It's just the fact most people don't understand that the red deaths is a very good mid range weapon but in close range alot of other guns can beat and long range is not bad but only if the person stands still long enough for you shot like three times but by that time they would have moved or pulled a sniper out. People are just stupid to try fighting it in the mid range area unless you know you will kill the opponent.
-
Seems fairly balanced, its really only effective at mid range, anything farther than and it performs rather poorly.
-
Fire rate is a bit slow and impact is average a faster pulse can beat it the healing factor in small combat modes makes it better in 3v3 then 6v6
-
It's one of the better PvP weapons out there, but it's not OP.
-
maybe slightly, but that is probably just due to pulse rifles as a whole being kind of OP at the moment
-
If anything, no time to explain would be OP because it's exactly like red death but shoots faster.
-
It's very slow.
