Destiny has no "Elitism" problem. It has a Transparency problem. Just Tell the TRUTH!

*Calmed down after I wrote this and edited rant to remove all the cursing* There is no "elitism" problem in Destiny. The problem is players trying to be sneaky and get carried through endgame activities. I've killed Oryx every week and went flawless on all 3 characters in Trials this weekend. It was an enormous bloody headache. Why? Because I would specifically post that I wanted EXPERIENCED players only, yet I would get flooded with messages from noobs. This is dead wrong. If you have never completed the raid, instead of trying to fly under the radar and get carried, how about just being upfront about it? How about just posting, "Hey guys, level 298 warlock here looking to do the Normal raid for the first time. Would appreciate some help." Is that really so hard? Instead most of you do stuff like this: Me: "Yo man, you got the hard mode emblem?" Noob: "Yes, but it's on my other character." Me: *checks other characters on app and sees no emblem.* Noob has been removed from fireteam. It's lying kids like this who ruin the matchmaking. To tell you the truth, I've helped tons of beginners complete raids, trials, PoE, etc. But you know why I did it? Because they were HONEST about it. They told me straight up, they didn't know what they were doing. Instead of being lying slimeballs just trying to get over on someone. Oh and for those of you who think it's "wrong" to ask for experienced players only, shove it. If I want to ask for 6 warlocks against Oryx, that is my right to ASK for it. If I want 6 striker titans with sidearms against Oryx, that is my right to ASK for it. And if I want 6 bladedancers with Gjallarhorns against Oryx, THAT IS MY RIGHT TO ASK FOR IT. If you don't like it, you know what you can do? You can make your own post with your own requirements, because, guess what? It's YOUR OWN FIRETEAM. Instead of complaining about how everyone else runs their teams, why don't you actually do something about it and just make your own? Oh, and one last thing. For all of you who would say, "you are wrong for asking for experienced players only. I'm sure you got carried your first time through the raid." Um, NO. Flat out, no. My first time beating Oryx, my fireteam took like 4 hours. We struggled and fought all night until we finally beat it. And guess what? Now that I've learned the mechanics and can execute the entire raid flawlessly, I don't feel like spending 6 hours each raid, just so some noob can learn it. Now, if one of of you generous fellows would like to help a new guy or gal, that's perfectly fine. You can make a post saying "helping new players through the raid." Or better yet, the bloody new guy can say "need help beating the raid for the first time." Is that really so hard? Apparently it is. Apparently, it's much easier to just lie, and hope no one notices that you have absolutely no bloody idea what you are doing, and then come cry on the forums when you get kicked for being the only one repeatedly screwing up and wasting everyone else's time. Moral of the story: Tell the truth from the beginning, or get pooped on when everyone finds out you were lying. Period.
