Work-around for update downloading issue [PS3] [Solved].

I purchased Destiny: The Taken King two days ago. Excited to get started, I put the disc into my PS3 and fired it up. As I expected, there were updates that needed to be downloaded. It lists there as being about 8GB worth, and so I started downloading them. Now, the problem is that my internet connection seems to short out for the smallest of fractions. This short isn't big enough to disrupt other devices, or even online gameplay on the same PS3 - but in downloading these updates, it's apparently enough to kill the progress and force me to start again. I've been able to get to 53% at one point.. only to have it short for a tiny fraction, and kill the download. This, understandably.. is infuriating. Now - what I want to know is: Is there any work-arounds that Bungie has for such a problem? Maybe somewhere I can download the files on another device, and then plug them into the PS3? I really don't want to return this game.. but if I can't find a way to get these downloads done, then it's looking like I'll have to. Any networking ideas are appreciated, BUT I am specifically asking if there is a work-around on Bungie's end for this. Thanks. SOLVED; Thanks to Metni's advice below, my problem is solved and I am now playing Destiny.

Hello, First things first, one thing you can try is manually updating Destiny to see if that'll have any change at all. A guide on how to do so for your specific console is found here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12630 Before you do that, there are a few things you'll want to do. One - is clearing the cache on your console. Completely power it off and unplug the power source from the back. Two - while your console idle, take a look at your network gear. Power-cycle your router/modem by disconnecting your router, then your modem if you have one. Let them sit for 30 seconds at least. Reestablish your connect by connecting your modem, then your router. Now boot up your console an attempt a manual update. You also want to make sure that your installation is actually being disrupted before you assume that whatever blip your network is having is the cause. Usually players report that their installation takes a while and gets stuck at certain points, and will continue or automatically finish later without any actual indication of progress being made. If your installation is still spinning and progressing, make sure you let it sit for a while and do it's thing even if your network bugs out. Now, I'm not sure what the blip is being caused by but I do know how you can try to avoid it. Assuming your connected via wireless, I'd advise trying a more stable method of connection like a wired cable, or removing obstructions between your console and your household router. If you notice your internet does this periodically, I'd recommend contacting your ISP. Good luck.
