Shoot, I remember playing Bungie games when Marathon came out... -Played the Marathon trilogy -Got the Xbox when I heard Bungie was making Halo for it -Pre-ordered collector's edition Halo 2 -Was accepted into the beta and pre-ordered the Legendary edition of Halo 3 -Pre-ordered the special edition of Halo Wars -Went to E3 and waited in line a total of 6-8 hours to play the Firefight in Halo ODST about 3 times -And have a nice collection of art books, novels, action figures, shirts, and other swag over these many years of Halo Thank you for all the fun and memories, Bungie, please continue being awesome for the next decade of gaming.

I remember exactly how I got started into Halo... At this time I knew nothing of Halo or Bungie. Me and my brothers would always love to watch our older brother play video games and I was not aware at the time the Bungie, and Marathon went hand in hand(The game he played usually). A little while after the xbox came out we got one for the family and that's when my brothers friend brought over a little game called...Halo. It got to the point where we were asking to borrow it every day. Eventually we got our own copy and that was one of the only games we played. Me and my younger brother especially would play the campaign over and over on every difficulty. And I think that's when my online Alias was born but it was because of Halo for sure. ...Jump forward 2 years, 7 months, 11 days and that's when I officially created my Bungie account on Friday, June 25, 2004. 5 years, and 28 days later Iam still here! I have been playing Halo for over 7 years!!! Been on Bungie.net for 5 of those years!!! And I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. [Edited on 07.22.2009 7:03 AM PDT]

Nice, love the classic screenshots. Congrats on 10 years of Halo! Man time flies, seems like just yesterday I was making fun of my friend for buying an Xbox cause I was gonna have some sweet games on my Gamecube and he got Bloodwake. What a chump.... and then he got Halo. Oooops.

In the beginning...there was Louis Wu...and it was gooooood! Halo single-handedly destroyed my GPA in undergrad. I used to host LANs for Halo CE every Wednesday night from 7pm till the wee hours of the morning. I had 9am classes on Thursdays. I missed quite a few of them. Of the ones I actually made it to, I was half-asleep dreaming of CTF on HEH or Sidewinder. I can remember meeting people whose real name I never knew and I only knew them by what they went by as their HCE moniker. I remember allowing total strangers into my house because they brought a copy of HCE to the door (it's better than 'open sesame'). I remember all-night runs on Legendary for the HCE campaign. I remember wanting to kick the ever living piss out of Guilty Spark and he'd mock me by saying "is that really necessary" after every rocket hit that damn glowing eye. I remember joining up at B.net almost 6 years ago now. A friend of mine told me that the people who made Halo CE were doing some sort of crazy contest called I Love Bees. About some fake bee-keeping website that melted into something completely different. I joined B.net and started stalking Louis Wu at HBO astounded by how clever the people were who were unraveling the ILB clues. After ILB and the release of Halo 2, I started this moniker and I've been on B.net ever since. Here's to the future Bungie but never forget the past. It's codename was -Blam! as you can read in the article. If I were to take an educated guess on how "Halo" came to be called "Halo", I'd suggest you'd ask her husband: Robt. As for who designed the logo? She did (IIRC). Getting to meet both Lorraine and Robt at PAX last year is probably the most star-struck I've ever been. Best day ever, I stayed up all night celebrating, seriously though, I haven't slept a wink sice I saw the video, and I spent quite a while at the promo site for Bioshock 2 trying to open that safe, how wonderfull.

Bungie, we are the ones who should be thanking you. For your dedication to your games, dedication to your fans and community. NO other game developer has come close to what you fine folks at Bungie have created with Halo, and I'm pretty sure they don't have as many 'Die Hard' fans either. You've got me hooked for life! My only regrets are not getting into this community sooner! Thank you Bungie for the 10 years of GREATNESS and looking forward to the next 10! Keep it up A well deserved 10th anniversary, CONGRATS.

When you look back at those 10 years, you gotta think, "My God that Halo game was a good idea!" You guys deserve lots of credit for keeping xbox going as well.

has it realy been that long, ive been here since the beggining, ive recruited my own army along the way , convinced friends to buy xbox's, havent made any cardbourd armour but im pretty sure ive killed every covie scum you guys served up, this fight isnt over not by a long shot. i think we'r just getting started. heres to another decade!
