The recent accommodation of Swords from TTK has been a huge success, they're so fun! I know we all love to swipe our swords and even show off which type of sword we have. Hell, I wished this day would come since the first story mission gave us one for such a little time against the Princes'. The photo is of an anime where the main character is in a fully gun-only game but has the option of using an "energy sword" (not to be confused with Halo) that gives an alternate route in combat at close range, and isn't just a one-hit wonder. But what about other melee weapons, aside from our melee abilities? And ones that aren't as powerful or heavy as Swords? There's a great place in Destiny for melee weapons and close range combat (that doesn't consist of just Shotguns and Melee punches), even more so in PvP. How great would it be if we had a sword-type weapon we could use in the special weapon slot, even a primary slot? The combinations would be really great with some of the other weapon classes. A two or three hit weapon, maybe even four, that would benefit from Agility and put more focus on subclass stats (Armor, Recovery, Agility) would be really fun, and make us really take a look at what our setup is. What do you all think about new melee weapons aside from swords? I would look forward to using this type of weapon all the time, knowing it would be a challenge to get close to another Guardian in PvP or an enemy in PvE.
