Do you still enjoy playing Crucible?...I know I don't
I have been a player since release and spent a majority of my time in the crucible.
Since the release of The Taken King the crucible is just not as fun.
The "Time To Kill" is just extremely fast and the new supers (Titan and Warlock) are terribly OP.
I was never really an amazing player but could hold my own and really enjoyed the PVP experience, especially with friends.
I have a LOT of friends who wont even play crucible anymore except for the daily even though we used to play every day.
It's hard to really sum it up but it just plays different.
I thought the week before TTK dropped it was really great.
Maybe the light levels or the new guns have a role in the imbalances.
Also I have never seen SO many people dropping out of matches.
I think maybe the Quest are a reason for this, if the person isn't going to complete their quest they just bail.
Take it like a man guardians and quit ditching your team.
All in all I am sad I can't enjoy PVP anymore and am starting to not even want to play the game due to how frustrated I get while playing.
Oh, and not to mention the LAG!!!!
Do you feel the same or are you still enjoying the PVP?
Edit: I must add that there are some things I DO like about he new updates as many of you have mentioned.
1. shotgun range is down
2. No more getting sniped by Thorn and Last Word
3. No more blink/shotgun (or not as much)
4. I can use a variety of guns (even though Pulse seems the strongest)
5. I can FINALLY use my Fusion again to counter idiot shotgunners running right at me
6. I oddly enjoy Mayhem rumble

2 RepliesYou aren't alone. I used to love pvp, and this is going back to pre-auto rifle nerf. Back when skirmish had instant revives. The crucible has lost its fun factor. Hell even if I play as my titan or warlock I don't enjoy it as much as I did before. To be completely blunt, trials of Osiris is what was the turning point for me. Elitist thought it was a game mode for the best of the best. Frankly I saw it more as a class battle and the warlocks were always going to come out on top. With 2 new supers that basically have a run time of nearly double the golden gun, everyone is trying to cry hunters getting what they deserve. Again no one is going head to head with these supers. Remember ward of dawn...warlock runs in throws grenade....or other class slides shorties and ward is down. Same system went to golden gun. If you were close enough you'd rush the hunter, that's not gonna work with either of the titan or warlock supers. Yet the community believes that's fair

I freaking hate the crappy crucible. Ive had this game since day 1, and have never liked the crucible. It makes me want to punch myself in the throat. Most people may say "oh its probably because you suck". No ive done really great in crucible plenty of times, ive been on top of the scoreboards more then bottom, but even when I am on top I get nothing and guy on bottom will get an exotic engram or something stupid. Honestly the worst stupidest pvp ive ever played in my life, and ive played a lot. New warlock super, most OP BS EVER! when activated can slam ground around them and instantly kill anything, and then can go around the whole map 5 times electrifying everyone. Its so annoying. And it really pisses me off that u have to play the crucible to get your exotic sword. BUNGIE KNOWS that people hate this lame excuse they like to call a pvp. But to get your very own BA sword you have to get 25 kills with your sword against players in the crucible. Which is the most annoying thing ever, especially since everyone camps heavy, and also runs around with rocket launchers at that point, I get more kills with the hilt of my sword, then when I actually have ammo. It sucks, horribly. Make me have to beat the raid 3 times or something. Not have to play games of this garbage and literally want to kill my self after each game. Even when I do good im pissed off, because its so annoying and when I do good I quit trying to get sword kills and do what everyone else does, which is camp door ways and corners using shotguns like theyre my primary. Which then at that point im not getting sword kills which is the ONLY reason im playing crucible for. Its just really frustrating. I just got done playing a few games, and this is y im so fired up about right now and needed to rant. But OMFG I HATE THE CRUCIBLE, I DESPISE IT, I LOATHE IT. Whatever, I honestly do not know how ppl enjoy it, but im sure they use hand cannons, or pulse rifles since they r so OP now. Wheres the balance at Bungie? There is always something that is OP. Im sure the same people who like it also use shotguns all the time and warlocks. Its so lame and ridiculously annoying. And makes me think the exotic sword is not worth it. Which I eventually got my arc sword, which is sick. But I have 3 characters. I wanted to try each exotic sword, but I dont think thats going to happen, id prob KMS before I got each sword. 1 ReplyEdited by ArcticGoose: 10/10/2015 7:27:34 PMPvp is the only fun thing to play now, Pve gets repetitive when you're only grinding out for gear/marks/etc. PVP does get really annoying though, especially when these kids have to cry about the way you play. Almost after every game I play, some little kid has to message me with a really pissed off letter. I'll play the game the way I like to, no one is gonna tell me other wise. If some fückboi wants to rumble me with NLB, I'll piss him off even more and just run around with blink/shotgun and tbag when I kill him. Did this once to some kid and he sent me an angry voice message telling me to kill myself lol

I go into the daily and weekly game for marks, and to get sword kills for the exotic quest and that's it. I hate PvP and avoid it as much as possible.

Since 2.0 I can usually play 2 games which are fairly laggy then I just get booted (can't play in a fireteam at all)

There has never been more camping and waiting and not challenging in this game ever. People play so boring as -blam!-. Then when i get fed up and challange them and we both have full health they still run away.

I can understand that... With the meta still up in the air, I'm having a hard time adjusting and all my recent games have just been absolute trash but I feel once all the dust settles in a month or so and we have had our crucible events roll through everything should be fun again and the meta will be cemented. Also on a side note anyone else notice memento's weight in the map rotation is ridiculous?

1 ReplyThis is what happened. Everyone is playing pve. I checked my list last night, 60 friends on all in pve. I primarily play pvp, and the skill gap has gone wasaaay up since sept 15th. I credit that to only us hardcore types still playing crucible. The population isn't as varied. Come iron banner let's see what happens, the raiding pvp types might come back.

5 Repliesi'm trying to force myself to get back into it due to the loot coming in trials, as well as the fact that there isn't really much replayability on the pve side because of the reset lockout which is only present in this game. the raid is a blast, but not with no reward. they currently do everything they can to cater to casual players. someone can literally log onto this game every tuesday and play for a few hours and potentially have more and better gear than someone who no-lifes it 24/7. that is not right. that same approach to casuals has also come into pvp and pretty much ruined it. they have gone out of their way to make noob weapons more powerful than skilled weapons to close the gap between skilled and unskilled players. the auto rifle, and high rof/low impact pulse rifles should have the slowest ttk in the entire game. they take the least amount of skill to use, and not much is lost for lack of precision. then they introduced terribly unbalanced subclasses to further close the gap.

2 RepliesI can finally use fusion rifles. I have always enjoyed using these in the crucible, even when they were nerfed. Now they are very competitive, and I have found some that I really like.
