Honestly? -blam!- Bungie.

Bungie partnering with Activision was absolutely their downfall; infested and corrupted by big business corporate leeches. I've stood by Bungie for over 12 years since I was a young kid playing Halo CE; It's been a long time since then. In March my Bungie.net account will reach its milestone of 10 years as a member of the Bungie.net community which I've cherished and enjoyed over the years. I've seen a lot in my time here, we all have. Destiny was a subpar game (for a multitude of reasons) but I supported them through it by playing and relatively enjoying my time throughout the past year. It was pretty good fun, though certainly not flawless. But seriously talk about a -blam!-ing bait-and-switch. Bungie expects me to pay them a total of $130 for a game that's been out for a year. If you walked into GameStop right now and purchased TKK for $60 you can get every single expansion and the base game for that price. If you bought Destiny when it launched and have all the expansions you paid about $90-$100 ( $$ == loyal customer), Bungie gracefully reduces the price for TKK for only $40!! -blam!- that. I've already dropped a Franklin. I shouldn't have to pay $40 more to unlock more content that should have already been on the game; which was severely lacking at launch in the first place. I really don't appreciate being completely shit on for being stupid enough to purchase the game when it was released. Bungie clearly does not care about customer loyalty. It's not even the fact I'm paying for additional content: paid DLC is an industry standard; but don't force me to purchase it by rendering a large portion of the game useless - you cannot even play multiplayer without TKK. Now, if Bungie were robbing me blind while giving me some solid content and story I wouldn't bat an eye -- but don't give me shit and then start telling me it's worth its weight in gold. It's sickening the dollar-orientated direction this company has headed since signing with Activision. It was blatantly obvious the path Bungie chose when they turned their backs on the community that made them what they are today. I'm honestly happy Marty was booted, Staten left, and all the other talent from the Halo years are gone so they don't have to participate in the current shame that is Bungie. Maybe one day they will absolve their contracts with Activision, Harold Ryan will be fired, and magically some internal Bungie employees will revitalize what made Bungie great and truly unique: their acute attention and care towards their community, and their ability to make kick ass stories that actually matter. Until then, I see no point supporting their subpar work while they've turned their backs to me and many others in favor of how much revenue they can bring in.

  • Its seems our concerns and feedback just bounce back when we try to talk with Bungie. It's depressing watching the community slowly atrophy.
