DESTINY TV SETTINGS: a look into making it more visually pleasing

I've been going for a more, realistic feel to destiny as apposed to cartoon. I finally have a recipe for it on my tv. Your personal feel to your game can make all the difference in your enjoyment level. Here is how I accomplished this... Backlight: I have this set pretty high. too low of a backlights doesn't make the other settings work at all. It as about 36/50 Brightness: I am ignoring the bungie recommended brightness. I can see the logo pretty well. It disappears at one. I can see it at 2. I have it set to 4. The key is to have the game brightness synergize with the tv brightness. My tv is set to about 60/100 brightness. Contrast: I had many misconceptions about contrast for a realistic look. I had it on the high side. I have lowered it and viola it's looking closer to my preference. It's at 40/100 If you want a cartoony look a higher contrast would probably be better. Color: my color setting is at 46. The ever so slight draining of the color makes things look more faded. More "real". We all know color looks more vibrant in video games than in real life. But I was going for more of a battlefield filter look. Real and gritty. Cartoony? Pump in the color. Tint: I wouldn't worry about tint unless your tv is actually having color tint issues. Adjust accordingly. Finally there's Sharpness: sharpness is funny. You think more is good right? I did. But only until I dropped it to 36/100 did destiny really look better. I have always noticed slight graphical errors around enemies and objects. This elevates that and softens the borders around them. Making them look more realistic. Other tips: I found that is I looked at my shadow IRL, it was much less dark than in destiny. I paid close attention to shadows and went for a realistic shadow scheme. I went to different location looking at natural lighting, then unnatural lighting in rooms. I adjusted to these separately, which ended up giving me a great base to work from and make smaller adjustments. If you have the patience and time (no pun intended) then I suggest you mess with your visual settings to find out how you can make destiny more enjoyable. Data shows we eat with our eyes. The same can be said for everything. If something is visually pleasing, we will enjoy it more. See you out there, guardians. Edit: these settings are not universal. As you can tell by my language, I never say to copy my settings, merely to play with your tv settings (or Xbox and game settings as some of you have suggested). For those of you with proper reading comprehension, thank you for your time and positive feedback. Those of you who missed the whole point of this post... I am sorry the school system failed you. :) Edit: looks like we're trending. This a first for me... What do I do? What do I say? Does my hair look ok? What about my breath... Ok ok.... Ahem.... Thank you
