Now don't get me wrong, some of the new gear is pretty nifty, however I also thought previous gear was also cool. The way it is set up now you are limited to a choice of about 5 different sets of armor, all of which you may not like. For example, you started playing Destiny before any dlc had come out and your in love with the armor the vanguard are selling and having been saving up to buy it or already own it, but before you know it a new dlc comes out completely obsoleting your current gear and getting rid of it permanently. Now to me I hated this detail about the game. It gives you a few choices of gear which you pretty much have to get in order to progress even if you don't like it. Kings fall raid gear is based on the hive. I personally hate hive gear due to the fact that it looks like it is decomposing and has many protrusions. This is why I believe they should have a way that you can still progress with any piece of gear or buy old gear and level it up. Like make a vendor that sells old gear but at a higher defense or dps. This would also vary the look of the guardians playing instead of having everyone where the same gear but different shaders.
