I typically do not watch opinion videos for Destiny. This one caught my eye this morning.
He's right. It's a Destiny's biggest issue.

Options. Give us options to use or not to use. If I wanna try a strike solo let me damn it. If I wanna use match making, let me. Let players have the option to use or not to use.

Edited by gallp13: 10/6/2015 8:09:54 AMLGF excellent for pick up crap for raids. Raids are friends and clans if neither simple till OMM is added use 100.io. To be honest while I remain and OMM proponent I find 100.io to be as good - IF NOT BETTER - huh .... rapid indraw of heretical breath ;)

Edited by OldHabitsDieHard: 10/6/2015 6:35:18 PMThe problem with matchmaking is PEOPLE. They always leave or don't know how to hide when they are last man standing or something so simple and then they leave and blame others. I'd rather not deal with randoms due to that. Imagine that last man standing guy in the nightfall with no way of reviving yourself, someone just leaving. No thanks
-
I can understand no matchmaking for Raids given their complexity. However, there's no good reason for the game not to have built in LFG tools so you can form your own party without having to go to your PC or whip out your smartphone.
-
They might as well give everything matchmaking. Jumping into an LFG group is identical to jumping into a group of randoms via matchmaking. Example: The only difference between the heroic strike now and during year 1 is that I don't have to walk away from the game to find a random group anymore. Matchmaking eliminates the annoyance of trawling the Internet for randoms. Speaking against this is akin to raging about Xur selling a weapon that you got as a drop, and you want to feel special by withholding good stuff from everybody... Retarded-ass elitist attitude. Nobody cares about your petulant indignation. Shut up and sit down.

What happens when you are in game and someone leaves? I guess your only option is a lfg site unless you want to quit out too. Seriously what is wrong with the way it is just go to reqruitment make a post and people msg you it takes like 2 minutes and is probally faster then flying to the tower going to something like a msg board there
-
Seriously "on call lobbies" like in GTA online yo.
-
Bungie wants you to play their way and their way only fuuckin dbags
-
It's about time one of "them" said something negative about the game. Maybe now Bungie will open their eyes and get off their asses
-
Bump, it's why I have not even attempted the new raid!
-
The biggest problem is robbing 40€ from players, who payed 100€ for the shit that was Destiny the "paid beta", again!
-
Wow, im actually a lil proud of Goth for saying that. Most Destiny youtubers are almost afraid of mentioning Destinys flaws. Those plane tickets are really nice.

Gothalion is a fail
-
Gothalion is one of the biggest destiny fanboys, his opinion means nothing
-
Optional Match Making for every thing in pve pvp can just rot for all i care
-
That's a plus for Gothalion in my book!

If Bungie added raid matchmaking then all we would see is angry posts about shitty match made fireteams. It's a horrible idea. My clan all met off a full the100.io group. About 20 of us bonded and became real close and had the same three changing fireteams so we left and formed our own clan and own 100 group. We never hurt for players for raiding, trials, banner, or whatever we need. Matchmaking websites can hit or miss, but if you don't get involved with a clan, lfg site, Reddit, etc then you will be missing out on a big part of Destiny.

I think a text chat would do this game wonders. Especially since the addition of quest based rewards such as the Exotic Swords and The Black Spindle. Text chat would work wonders in the tower and patrol areas.
-
Of course all the services built around the game represent an in-game failure. MMOs already have solutions to many of these problems. Optional matchmaking is one such solution. Another is the need to call for backup as outlined in another forum post. We shouldn't always need the app to communicate, organize, or read the grimiore.
-
Agree with social chat in social areas and patrols, Agree with new area to make Raid groups using in game LFG or added optional matchmaking system, Agree Bungie DONE -blam!-ED UP
-
I agree. But not matchmaking. Text chat is what almost every game needs these days.

-
It's the reason why I don't bother to use LFG sites for Destiny. I always switch to another game like Warframe. =\
-
He's a Destiny shill, he'll bring up something like that but not the non buyer lockout. Bungie lines his pockets so he won't question anything of real substance.
-
Edited by ShapelessHorr0r: 10/4/2015 6:41:47 PMYep. It's one thing for no OPTIONAL matchmaking. It's another for no LFG/recruitment chat. It's one of the biggest reasons I won't buy any DLC at full price. #mycommentsbringallthefanboystotheyard Edit: Sigh. Saddest part is that building community interaction is how you bring all teh monies. Apparently, Bungie no like monies. #basicMMOdesign And yes I'm going to be sarcastically ironic with hashtags. #fekkinshitBungie

Bungie fail for not having an in-game equivalent.
