As you all know, there is a new badass exotic sniper called the Black Spindle. I have recently gotten this gun and used it a lot thinking it was very fun and had a cool design. Then I started thinking to myself. What is so special about this weapon? I say this because it is not a gun that is worth the exotic slot in my opinion. This gun is an exotic Black Hammer. I know after saying that, that all of you will be saying "no duh dipshit we know this." I just wanted to explain why it is a waste of an exotic slot and how it could be fixed to be a more appropriate exotic weapon. This gun, like I have previously stated, is an exotic version of the Black Hammer which was an amazing weapon before it got patched. When they patched the Black Hammer to have its precision mag bonus come from the reserve all us black hammer owners were a bit pissed to be honest. The Black Hammer before that nerf was an exotic hidden as a legendary. When it comes to the new Black Hammer (Black Spindle) Bungie needs to make it worth the exotic slot which I feel right now it is not worth since the only big bonus is you do not have to reload, but what does not reloading do besides save a few seconds? What I'm trying to say is that Bungie should give this beast of a weapon, a better reason to take up an exotic slot. I have thought about what should be removed/modified and what should be added. My first idea is that they should get rid of their exotic decision of never having the look of the gun change. Bungie should add different scopes to this monster of a sniper that actually make a difference in the zoom of this weapon (I have not noticed a big change so I might just being saying because I'm an idiot). My second and final idea to make this exotic monster a true exotic. Is to change and rename the Mulligan perk. My idea is this... Call the perk Black Spindle(Generic, I know). The perk would do something like what the mulligan perk does but improved and in my opinion more suitable for an exotic weapon. The perk would be instead of missing a shot there is a chance to return ammo to the magazine it would be if you do not score a precision hit. There is a high chance that ammo would be returned to reserve ammo. I'm not saying this is a brilliant idea or that I'm the first to think of this. I just have not seen anything about it.
