Raid Kiosk

I'm going to skip the forthcoming post I have on feedback for TTK (I'll have that later) to spend a short time providing an idea that I personally think should have been brought in with 2.0.0.0. This should be very simple for Bungie to add, even a small update patch (2.0.1.0) could handle. A Raid Kiosk. With TTK you added these kiosks to the tower (Emblems, Shaders, Ships, Sparrows, Emotes (yep), Exotic Weapons, Exotic Armor, and Quests). I personally think that this was a great idea, and combined with the vault space update, a great way to unlock something, and not need to hold onto it until you truly need it. This new kiosk will go in the Vanguard chambers on the opposite end of the quest redemption kiosk, and it stores all of the raid gear you have obtained on your account. Now obviously raid gear has non static perk and stat roles, but that's perfectly fine (We'll get to that). What you can do is provide another use for those outdated shards and energies you had back in Y1. Here's how you sort it: Instead of doing a per-class menu like the armor, use the tabs on the top to sort by raid: [Vault of Glass (Collection 1)], [Crota's End (Collection 2)], [Prison of Elders (Collection 3)], [King's Fall (Collection 4)], and so on as more are added. For inside the page itself, use the following subcategories (Some raids won't need all): ** Left Side * Hunter Armor * Titan Armor * Warlock Armor * Unique Items (Specials like Crux of Crota, Ravenous Heart, Etc) ** Right Side * Primary Weapon (Elemental) * Primary Weapon (Non Elemental) [PoE and King's Fall will need this one] * Secondary Weapons * Heavy Weapons For the costs of each item, it will depend on the activity but here are my thoughts: * VoG Armor: 20 Ascendant Shards, 25 Armor Materials, 1500 Glimmer * VoG Weapons: 20 Ascendant Energy, 25 Weapon Parts, 2000 Glimmer * CE Armor: 20 Radiant Shards, 25 Armor Materials, 1500 Glimmer * CE Weapons: 20 Radiant Energy, 25 Weapon Parts, 2000 Glimmer * CE Unique (Crux of Crota): 50 Radiant Shards, 50 Radiant Energy, 2500 Glimmer * PoE Armor: 1 Etheric Light, 50 Armor Materials, 2000 Glimmer * PoE Weapon (Non-Elemental Primary Inc): 1 Etheric Light, 50 Weapon Parts, 2500 Glimmer * PoE Weapon (Elemental Primary): 1 Etheric Light, 75 Weapon Parts, 3000 Glimmer * King's Fall Armor (Normal Mode): 15 Mouldering Shards, 25 Armor Materials, 2500 Glimmer * King's Fall Weapon (Normal Mode): 15 Mouldering Shards, 25 Weapon Parts, 3000 Glimmer * King's Fall Armor (Hard Mode): 25 Mouldering Shards, 50 Armor Materials, 3500 Glimmer * King's Fall Weapon (Hard Mode): 25 Mouldering Shards, 50 Weapon Parts, 4000 Glimmer * King's Fall Unique (If Applicable): 50 Mouldering Shards, 1 Exotic Shard, 5000 Glimmer So what about those varying stat and perk and even weapon element roles? Here's where this idea should gain some popularity with people. Make it random! As much as people hate RNG in this game, being able to directly "buy" a piece of already acquired gear for a shot at a better role actually sounds much better than throwing your luck at RNG just for one chance a week at the one you need. And for the people continually screaming for Y1 stuff to be ascended to Y2 values, this is where we can ASK Bungie nicely to allow these guns to be upgraded inside the Kiosk, you'll still need to re-buy them, but this is where it should be done, and even then it should be "reasonable". like so: * VoG: Start at 200. * CE: Start at 220. * PoE: Start at 250. Just my two cents, but I'd like to hear what others think.
