OK, maybe I'm just old or not "hip" to the lingo, but can anyone explain to me just exactly what a "scrub" is? I mean, I have at least some common sense, so I'm guessing it's someone that sucks. But, can anyone give me the exact definition? The reason I ask is, today while I was minding my own business, using my runes at the court of oryx, a team of 3 guys comes and joins in the fight. I'm like, great, cool, thanks for the help guys! Then as I'm getting ready to use another rune, one of the guys on that team runs over and spends his own rune. I was a little annoyed, but as they'd helped me out, I thought, you know what, they helped me, I'll help them. So, the fight is with The Fanatic. We end up fighting him twice or maybe 3 times and losing. I want really sure how to beat him, as apparently he is also in the Crota raid? Which I haven't done. Anyway, I did my best to help out. So after losing 2 or 3 times, the team leaves and I receive a message from 'CaptainMHook'. I go to open it, thinking it would say something along the lines of, "Hey bud, sucks we lost, but thanks for trying to help anyway!" But no, all it says is, "Scrub". I'm like, what? Now, I did die quite a few times during the battles, but so did each member of that team. There were even a few instances where I revived 2 to all 3 team members at a time. But, it was like this guy was blaming me for his whole team losing. They were 3, I was 1. We all died several times during the fights that we never ended up beating. Now, how is it my fault, how am I a scrub because his team couldn't beat the fight. They couldn't win with me there helping kill bad guys, I really doubt that they could have won without me there either. I can't help it that they couldn't beat him. I just happened to be the guy that was there at the time they decided to do the fight. So that guy calls me a scrub, maybe because I couldn't win the fight for them or something? Idk? So, can anyone explain to me, what exactly is a scrub and if I just happen to be there when your team loses, even though I did my best to help, does that really make me a scrub?
