A vote of "No Confidence" in Bungie or Activision.

They offered the DLC package as a full set because if they didn't, anyone who bought the game and then the Taken King would find out that they would then need to buy the other two DLC's to be able to play the game properly. New customers would have felt cheated and the bad press would have FAR worse. I didn't pre-order because I have never seen the wisdom in paying before you know what you're getting for the money. In the past year we have seen them make the game tougher, not better. The weapons have been buffed occasionally, nerfed quite often (sometimes over and over), and our complaints about cheating ignored. (The only reply I've ever gotten back was not about the rampant cheating, but for marking someone as being "unfriendly". ) They were either incapable or unwilling to do anything about the lag-switching in crucible and Iron Banner, and gave wrist-spats for Trials cheaters switching characters for undeserved wins (which made it not worth attempting). In all cases these people were allowed to keep their ill-gotten gains. I do not know what, if any, of these things were addressed with the release of TTK. Nor do I expect to find out, other than reading posts. (Morbid curiosity I suppose.) I will not be buying TTK (though I have money to do so), nor will I be buying any of their sequels. I might have, to be honest, but to find that they are pressuring faithful customers to this degree is unsettling. New players will get the full game experience for less than year one players paid for the game and the first two DLC's, while year one players will have to pay as much as they paid for the first two DLC's put together just to find out what the real game is like. I didn't expect to be able to play the new strikes, raids, or special events on the new maps, that's as it should be because it is new content exclusive to buying the DLC. If you could there would be no reason to sell it. However, by delaying purchase I have found out that I am not allowed to; work towards competitive levels; unlock the third sub-class; earn legendary marks should I purchase TTK in the future; compete in Iron Banner; play new crucible maps; or even try out ANY new weapons or armor. In the past DLC's this was not the case. So why now? To me this is VERY sketchy. Past experience has taught me that blind commitment never ends well. Especially when dealing with anyone/anything that has already proven itself unreliable. I have no confidence in Bungie, or Activision anymore and do not wish to reward them or their way of dealing with the customers they depend upon.
