Some of us have wanted this since we decoded our first engrams, and we begged Bungie to add this in, but they said no. WELL I SAY YES! In the controversy around TTK's release there must be something positive, something that can legitimately improve Destiny in a way that would make everyone say "OH MY GAWD THEY ADDED THIS IN!". While I would also like to see space battles in destiny, Bungie will likely never add this in until very far down the line. We've seen how amazing the space battles would be in the opening prologue to TTK, but alas we never got to be in one. So why not add trading? Trading would be a solution to a lot of Destiny's biggest problems, and add a huge MMO RPG element to it! Sure there may be problems that come from adding trading, but that is why would should discuss it! And decides good way to implement it that does not seem cheesy, which I doubt it will be cheesy if we say yes, and discuss how Bungie should do it! We need this element in the game! So where is it Bungie? We've been waiting for a long time, now is the time to add trading! Of course my suggestion for how trading should be implemented follows a set of simple rules: 1.Make a system in place so that it is almost impossible to use real money. Notable relies and comments:
Everyone says it will break the game but listen, if its set up so if you have an exotic, you have to trade for an exotic. If you have a blue, you have to trade for a blue. It can work!

No. Because then everyone would give exotics for free to they're friends. And then exotics wouldn't be as special anymore.

One of the reasons that Vanilla needed trading so badly is that your level was tightly relient on the gear you had but your gear was totally dependent on RNG. In the current system you can upgrade useful gear and have several chances at exotics each week and so it isn't as bad as it used to be.

Let's say there are two guys. One guy spent a week nonstop to beat the raid and get the gear. He walks through the tower and sees another guy. It is a twelve year old boy who got all the gear from trading money and shit legendaries. The man who spent countless hours to get the gear tries to help others do the same, the boy who bought the gear sits in the tower and calls passerby's noobs, while he hasn't as much as touched it. Say all you want but this is the most likely outcome of adding trading, among much other negative things. Sure there's some positives, but in almost every scenario the negatives WILL outweigh them. The only thing that could work would be to add trading in the last minute of an activity (when the timer is counting down to the rewards screen, and the timer on the rewards screen) so friends can trade what they got with friends who actually did the activity with them.

We don't need trading, what we do need is a more balanced RNG system that gives you weapons and armour that you don't have. This was supposed to be fixed for ttk but I have had the following. 2 sets boots 2 sets arms 2 exotic sniper rifles 1 chest 1 exotic chest 1 auto rifle 1 Hawkmoon 1 forth horsemen 1 legendary sniper 1/4 of my drops have been duplicates, doesn't seem very fixed to me.

There's not enough in the loot table to justify a trade system. Stats on gear are over simplified, so the only thing that warrants trades is for perks. They mashed together the light level of weapons and gear which I thought was weird. There's no variables outside of perks and light level to warrant a trade system. If a trade system were to be placed there would be several parameters to consider such as Exotics cannot be traded, can only be traded with players that were in the fireteam, and in this case, only items obtained via engrams can be traded. However, as mentioned, the the loot table of Destiny in its entirety is too small and there aren't enough "random" stat variables to support an in-game economy.
