The Taken King XBOX 360/One
Hello,
When we first purchased Destiny, we bought the digital copy on the XBOX 360. Soon thereafter, we were given the option of downloading it again on the XBOX One. Given this option, we decided to upgrade our XBOXes here at my house to XBOX Ones. Now my son and I enjoy Destiny on our XBOX Ones here and rarely ever play on our XBOX 360s.
Unfortunately, my son is still stuck playing on an XBOX 360 when he's at his mother's house. They have not upgraded to an XBOX One. This works out okay, since our initial license was for the XBOX 360. He can log in and play on that platform and since all his profile information is stored on Bungie's servers, he can pick up where he left off and continue to enjoy Destiny.
With The Taken King coming out, I'm wondering if we are going to have the same opportunity to purchase it on the XBOX 360 and re-download it on the XBOX one? I really don't want to pay for 2 copies just so my son can play The Taken King from his mother's house on the XBOX 360. It seems rather pointless.
Can you (Bungie) let us know if we're going to be able to make the purchase on the 360 and re-download on the one, like we did with our original Destiny purchase?

5 RepliesWe have several guys in our clan who run both consoles because they hadn't upgraded to Xbox One until they'd already purchased Destiny with season pass on the 360. I can confirm your suspicions that you will have to purchase it separately for each console unfortunately. I actually came across a Bungie help topic where they stated that TTK would not be included in the Upgrade Program that covered vanilla Destiny and the first 2 expansions.
