I've been running eagle, viper, wolf and tiger strikes for the past week just to get some vanilla gear but I'm really starting to feel that the drop rate of an engram and then a legendary vanilla piece out of it is just way to bad. Is there any way to increase the odds of obtaining vanilla gear for players who are looking/grinding for it? For example one or more of the following: 1. A guaranteed blue engram drop at the end of the strikes. 2. Make all the engrams that drop during the eagle, viper, wolf and tiger strikes (picked up from the floor) vanilla engrams. 3. A small chance of getting a legendary vanilla engram at the reward screen (3%-4%). 4. A vanilla-token after playing 30 strikes of the same playlist on a day with which you can then buy any vanilla piece you'd like. Besides this if for any reason something like that isn't possible or doesn't appeal other players, is there any chance that: 1. Bungie might adjust the inventory of all vendors for 1 weekend so players are able to buy good looking old gear. 2. Bungie launches a special event at the tower similar to the 'queens wrath' and 'iron banner' for which players have to complete bounties in order to buy vanilla gear/weapons. Maybe call the vendor an 'old vanguard servant' or something. Maybe some might even feel like all this vanilla stuff should be an exclusive for the year 1 players of destiny. Of course for reasons we all understand, the vanilla gear obtained should have the old stats so everything stays fair for players that don't like to buy/obtain vanilla gear. All the above can also be said for pre-HoW gear for players who still like to get let's say an LDR 5001. EDIT: stopped getting legendary items from new blue engrams as well. So I don't know whether something was changed, whether it's glitched or whether I'm in such bad luck at the moment...
