Worse punishment?
I think it would be far worse to spend life in prison. The boredom would kill me. At least nowadays. The capital punishment used hundreds of years ago just makes me cringe (ever heard of being hanged, drawn, and quartered?).

It kind of depends on the prison and if it is truly life in prison. Most prisons in north america and even Europe arent terrible, in fact prisoners mostly have it better off than homeless people. Now if it is true life in prison (unlike the western system that says life, but actually mean a good chunk of your life), and in a prison in like china, then i would say life in prison is harsher.

Worse punishment force fed while laying on needles and tide down with electroshock. After that put into a closed chamber with no food for 1 week.

Should have said: Life in prison 1 month (or more) torture and then execution Only 1 month torture and then you're "free"... only 1 month, come on it's no problem. And by torture I mean hardcore torture. Like pulling nails, break and cut fingers and forcing you to eat them raw, close eyes with glue, no sleep, waterboarding, forced to eat your shit, smash your knees with a hammer and much more. Know what I'm sayin OP? The choice is too easy, look at the poll result. Make the execution option more horrible. And to the people saying "I still want the execution option", how about 6 months hardcore torture? Still execution? 1 year... they won't torture you to death and make sure you don't pass out.
