Evidence! Year 1 weapons to year 2!
So I found out that SOME of the weapons (for example Praetorian Foil) that get the yellow bar around the logo when it's fully upgraded/ascend, don't show this yellow bar when it's in the vault. Others do show the yellow bar in the vault.
Maybe a sign these are not really fully upgraded yet? ;>
