So I went a head and gave ruin wings a test, I used the level 26 ROC strike playlist for the test. I did 25 strikes with ruin wings equipped and then 25 strikes without ruin wings. Believe it or not, I got more heavy ammo drops without ruin wings, then I did with ruin wings equipped. I wrote down how many heavy ammo drops I got per strike and what strike I was doing. I stream destiny on twitch for about 3-6 hours everyday and I hear many complaints on how ruing wings are not doing what they should be doing. For a gear to be exotic and not work as it should its pretty sad. I think ruin wings can be an amazing item if they were buffed so, it really drop heavy ammo more often. I mean its pretty frustrating to do two full strikes and not even have a single heavy ammo drop while having ruin wings equipped. please bungie take the time to fix this one. #buffruinwings *EDIT 1* Im reading some of the feedback and some of you guys are saying that it should not give you more heavy ammo drops, just more when you pick it up. But the Ruins wings perk says; "Heavy ammo drops more often, and contains more ammo in each drop" (HEAVY AMMO DROPS MORE OFTEN) which means you should see more purple ammo frequently, which where the problem seems to be. Also yes my ruin wings are fully upgraded. And what seems to be happening with me is that I would go dry sometime for a while, which should not happen if heavy ammo dropped more often and boom i see 4-5 packs at once. when only two packs fill me up...
