Save yourselves the hate bungie pull the bandaid now

#saveourexotics is a success! http://youtu.be/ZIbSPTjpfzU With Taken King all weapons are left behind. So how about saving your fan base a lot of grief as well as yourselves a lot of hate and just tell us now. Will the next small dlcs continue the current trend of negating previous work or is that just forgotten for taken king and most importantly... Will year three be the same as year 2? Just tell us now. WOW told their fan base it would happen every year or more per expansion. They expect it and they enjoy the grind. Many in destiny don't and want to know if they should get taken King for fun and not invest themselves, or if it's safe to care about our gear until destiny 2. Don't hide this for marketing. You said it yourselves in the game informer interview. This is not like halo, we want to know everything not discover a ninja change. In halo you had earned that. Destiny you proved we can't trust you to know best so now we can't trust you without more info. That and you're dealing with a whole different type of gamer now where heavy knowledge of the game systems gets you progress faster rather than playtime or skill. Edit: will infusion be taking us through all of year two as an ascension method? And is it planned to continue to year three? Are you not that far in planning yet because it needs testing by us? Because that's an ok answer as well just tell us if your goal is to try to let us ascend year to year. Here is the game informer interview thank you AYRES
Also you should probably link this: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2015/08/26/through-the-fire-how-destiny-39-s-first-year-shaped-the-future.aspx @5:40 for the line "ripping the band aid off".
Edit: I think I described the mark situation pretty well here so thought I'd add it too.
I don't think you are quite following me and how I think this will play out as it doesn't actually extend playtime and grind. It reduces it and pads only tower and orbit time except in time crunches like iron banner but they haven't revealed any mark time crunch events. As for that's how it's set up that's kinda the point of this feedback to get bungie to change what it's doing. In taken King we have marks being earned by weekly and daily playlist as well as dismantling legendaries. So we will have a fairly constant stream of them. We also have a lot to spend them on. Originally vendors were all crucible for two reasons. Game mechanics- crucible is underplayed so they kept the bias to encourage it combined with removing materials for marks. This increased the mark grind in dark below as well. Second is lore. The factions are primarily an aspect in crucible not PvE hence faction wars. As you're earning marks you will be spending them. Bungie wants this constant spending to stay below the cap not having us grind and sit at it. The cap encourages increased frequent spending but the cap has no bearing on increasing your grind to earn them since its unlimited. Demand for spending them increases the grind not the cap. What the cap does is the same as glimmer now. It makes us unable to save and spend like crazy in the next expansion. The cap was more to wipe out our mark stock than anything. Now going through the week we need to spend more time Going to the tower and spending marks. So again the cap encourages frequent spending and frequent orbit an tower time as well as chopping our saved marks down for ttk. It doesn't extend actual gameplay at all unless they do a time crunch which they removed with the weekly cap. So such a low cap doesn't make sense when 300 does everything they want without discouraging me from playing every Tuesday or risk pointless nonearning time. I guess that's what I'm trying to argue for then to bungie. Giving us just a small amount more freedom with marks would extend real gameplay more than it would pad non-gameplay time. Especially with all the other ways they have reintroduced the grind. The cap will just add to the negative view of the grind Edit: I guess it does extend gameplay playtime a little by having to compensate for those wasted marks but that's adding to hated grind not productive grind.
Edit: figured I'd add the rest of my questions as well.
One of my earlier posts on another thread
Here is what I want answered. Why is the cap for marks at 200 instead of 400 so saving for one thing doesn't run the risk of having to forgo earning marks? Are there plans to improve the exotic blueprints since it was made clear its not meant as a vault and it seems silly to just have a redundancy for exotics when they already adde the lock feature? Are the new versions of year one exotics included in their new exotic count? Will older exotics be brought forward with time? When they say strikes will be more rewarding what do they actually mean in numbers and examples? Not just "better". Is it just higher chance of not getting nothing or higher chance of getting something good? Are the unique drops quest based? Do they only happen once? Basically how are strikes any different or more rewarding than now especially with no marks rewarded? Why no marks from crucible or strike playlists and why would I bother with them due to that? Why are we farming for planetary materials again? All of these keep me from both trusting bungie or preordering. I'm not saying they have to reveal everything but thy need to reveal more to get any money from me pre release. With halo they earned the right to have the benefit of the doubt and to tease us and it be appreciated. Destiny try lost that and need to do as much damage control as hype.
